I like how they did Orion. First time I've heard that played live right through. I like Damage, Inc too. I love how at the end he shouts "DAMAGE INCORPORATED!" instead of whipsering it
Dream Theater performing every song on Master of Puppets live, anyone?
http://musicfreep2p.blogcindario.com/2005/03/00530-dream-theater-master-of-metallica.html
Nice. I'll watch/listen later. |

Small metallica update. :thumb:
This is like a week old... SO I took that image of lars with that notebook and tried to zoom in on it...but it got all fuzzy and messed up...drat |
I can't even half make out what that is. I'll try again later with my image settings larger.
Hopefully James with have some more solos. It would be cool if the both did solos in different places on the same song. |
Yeah, cause you know Kirk wrote so much for Exodus..
Seriously think about it. If he was still in Exodus today, do you think he'd be sitting around contributing nothing? |
Seriously think about it. If he was still in Exodus today, do you think he'd be sitting around contributing nothing?
I don't think he'd still be in Exodus tbh. |
I don't think he'd still be in Exodus tbh.
Well that's a touche issue. Kirk may have not become the person he is today so he may have still been into the classic solo thing. Today he pretty much doesn't like how he did solos in the past (i.e. wankage) |
I think he would still be in Exodus, or at least he would have throughout the 80's. It's not like he was about to leave Exodus before Metallica asked him.
|
If Kirk was still in Exodus and I think they would have broken up and not have reformed.
I'ld be interested in who Metallica got as a lead guitarist if they didn't get Kirk if they didn't break up. |
I hope after this cd they come to Omaha again. I missed em last time and if I don't get to see them in my life I will cry.
:upset: |

All celebrate your greatness! :p |
Most of the Metallica threads turn into flame-fests and are closed quite quickly.
True Metallica was awesome up until after And Justice For All then they turned commercial |
True Metallica was awesome up until after And Justice For All then they turned commercial
Oh no, really? Of course commercial music isn't made to be listened to. |
1986 was a great year... Master Of Puppets, Reign In Blood. And me!!
Didn't Peace Sells...But Whoes Buying come out that year also? |
hey guys, in the Cliff em all dvd, do you guys know what song is playing in the background when the guys are drinking beer in the room?
Tesla? coming at you live? Is that the one you are talking about? when lars starts "Air Drumming" |
Didn't Peace Sells...But Whoes Buying come out that year also?
Correctimundo. 1986.. the best year in music. (or one of) |
The Download festival seems kind off odd, band wise. Metallica with Trivium and Bullet for my Valentine.
|

Me too  |
Wasn't Reign In Blood 1985?
|
No, Hell Awaits was 1985. Reign In Blood was 1986.
|
Can't you all google this crap?
How the hell did Bullet for my valentine get invited to download? |
Hell Awaits would be so much better if the production was better. I think that is pretty much the only down side to that Slayer album.
|

Well yea...but those eighties metal albums just wouldn't be the same without their sounds...I don't know how to say it other then they weren't the biggest band in the world but they were fighting to get there...and the production sucked but they made it out alive and kncked some heads while doing it |
I find the production that album rather good. I can hear the bass, guitar, drums and vocals perfectly. But oh well....
I have no idea who BfmV got into the Download Festival... Korn is going to be there too. :/ But then I guess I don't really care, because it's not in San Diego. |
Where is Download anyways?
I find the production on that a bit flat and you can hear feedback from the area around them not the amp. It needs a much better drum production IMO. |

Gay....needs to be near or around San Fran. |
Gay....needs to be near or around San Fran.
It's probably a couple hundred dollars, plus with Trivium, Korn, Guns n' Roses and Bullet for my Valentine being there, I wouldn't pay that money. |

They just played there like 4 months ago. |

£145 to be precise overall. I'm paying the money, it MetallicA, and a hell of a weekend with my mates! |
No, Hell Awaits was 1985. Reign In Blood was 1986.
Ah right. Thanks.
How the hell did Bullet for my valentine get invited to download?
I don't think they were invited, they asked to play I think, which is what most bands do. Or they just say that they're playing download and get put on the line up. This year's download looks utter crap. I don't really want to have to sit through 12 crappy bands just for Metallica. |
Not to my knowledge. Neither bands have played Download.
