Anybody who boos Hendrix does not understand music. Mostly those who booed him off the stage at the end of his life.

Somthing thats kind of interesting about that is since he was booed off the stage and didn't want to say a goodbye speech or anything his last words on stage were "If I don't see you know more in this world, I'll see you on the next one, and don't be late" Kind of ironic.

Yes, did you like the other samples?

I'll post them right after this 17 minute, live version of "Eyes of the World" is done.

Yes I do realise I have a Pharrell avatar.
Question #2: Why?
Yep :thumb:

Another interesting thing about his death is they found what they originally thought was a suicide note. After reading it again they relized it was a song. Too bad we would never hear it.

L.A. didn't really have a scene though. San Francisco had such a great scene that the bands didn't even have to leave. While many of the bands you listed hardly stayed in L.A..

And yes, it is very hard to put my reason to words :(

Hey, I did say San Fran. too.

Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds and Love were all about L.A.

Badmoon 03-11-2005 09:16 PM

I'm just saying they didn't have much of a scene. What brought them together, the Whiskey A-Go-Go. That's it.

And Sunset Strip.

San Fran, L.A., New York and London were the places to be.

Badmoon 03-11-2005 09:23 PM

1.) San Fran
2.) London
3.) New York
4.) Detroit/L.A.

Illmatic 03-11-2005 09:24 PM

I know MC5 and Iggy got their starts in Detroit, but let's not kid ourselves, Detroit is NEVER the place to be.

Badmoon 03-11-2005 09:30 PM

Really interesting stuff was going on. Kind of the opposite of San Fran. Instead of playing at a hippie acid test, they were all playing at the official bar of the White Panther Party. It was the birth place of Punk, and was very unified.

It is actually very interesting if you look into it.
