uh...

Gorerotted- A new dawn for the dead
send more paramedics/zombie apocalypse- tales told by dead men
Dream theater- octavarium
Bruce Dickinson-tyranny of souls

I plan to get:

Arcturus' new one
COB- are you dead yet?
Iron maiden-death on the road
cathedral-garden of unearthly delights
opeth- ghost reveries
no ned t get this either, and I'm a huge Opeth fan.
I can end it to you if you want, but it's not worth your money really

np: Arcturus - Hufsa

Thor 10-02-2005 02:17 PM

Anyone else in here a Death fan?

NP - Death - Scream Bloody Gore

Lord Abortion 10-02-2005 02:20 PM

OK, so I'm not going to waste my dosh then...

I really want the new cathedral album and death on the road though...I have to wait until they drop in price, I can never justify paying over £8 or so for an album even if it IS maiden.

Arucard 10-02-2005 02:20 PM

I think everyone in here is a Death fan.

Shadows 10-02-2005 02:26 PM

I'm happy. Just got home from buying Vital Remains - Dechristianize.

Arucard 10-02-2005 02:31 PM

Awesome album, but the the drum production is abit meh. Still, very brutal.

Shadows 10-02-2005 02:36 PM

I love how they switch from this fast, brutal metal to these really emotional harmonies. And all while flaming Christians!

That album is epic and brutal to say the least.

They really know when to put in the melodic breaks at the perfect times.

NP - Amon Amarth - Death In Fire

This song just screams WAR!

Thor 10-02-2005 02:41 PM

WAR! What is it good for? Absolutely nothin! Say it again! AAAHHHH, WAR!!

Shadows 10-02-2005 02:43 PM

I agree.

I can't wait to see Amon Amarth live next month. Along with CoB and another shitty band.

Arucard 10-02-2005 02:49 PM

Why don't you just come late and not see Trivium?

Shadows 10-02-2005 02:51 PM

Because I think the order is Amon Amarth - Trivium - CoB. Total BS in my opinion, Trivium should be opening for the other two.

Plus me and my friends always try to get right up front if possible, and at a show like this there's bound to be a huge crowd to beat.

the2stranger 10-02-2005 02:59 PM

I've seen Amon Amarth two times already, and shaked hands with the band
they rock, enjoy!

Six Foot Revolver 10-02-2005 03:01 PM
Do not get that, it is horrible.
That isn't a suprise.

BoboTheRagingHobo 10-02-2005 03:08 PM
I agree.

I am seeing them in November.

And even though the new CoB material sucks from what I have heard so far, they will still put on a good live show. I also expect Amon Amarth to put on a killer show as well, and if you like them or not, Trivium do put on a decent/good live show.

NP - Psycroptic - The Scepter of Jaar-Gilon

i am the robots 10-02-2005 03:22 PM

Yeah, CoB has gone sooo downhill.

Thor 10-02-2005 03:36 PM

^^^
Yeah, this is sad but true. But they still play tons of their old material at their shows.

yes it is! it is so worth the money

also, all this talk of Bodom live makes me want to vomit, according to my friend James (who's opinion I trust dearly) Bodom sucks horribly live now too :upset:.

Did he say why they sucked?

i am the robots 10-02-2005 03:44 PM
Did he say why they sucked?
Because Laiho supposedly didn't even try, he was doing more rolling on the floor messing up his solos than actually playing/screaming.

Jom 10-02-2005 03:45 PM

2005 albums I've picked up, that to my knowledge have been released in 2005 (I'm sure I'm missing a few here and there, and this doesn't even come close to the number of albums I've purchased this year):

(Insert disclaimer involving lack of tr00ness and Dargon references)

Arcturus - Sideshow Symphonies
Between the Buried and Me - Alaska
Bloodhound Gang - Hefty Fine
Cold - A Different Kind of Pain
Disturbed - Ten-Thousand Fists
Dream Theater - Octavarium
John Cena and Tha Trademarc - You Can't See Me
Meshuggah - Catch-33
Mudvayne - Lost and Found
Static-X - Start a War
Taproot - Blue-Sky Research (mistake)
TRUSTcompany - True Parallels

In short: I invest way too much into music and should stop.

Shadows 10-02-2005 03:45 PM

That's news to me. I've always heard that Bodom shows were incredible. I've seen live performances of them before, and they looked very good. I love the new material, so I'll probably be more optimistic about it than others. I really doubt that alexi actually does those things your friend described.

It's pretty unanimous that Amon amarth kicks ass. I can't wait for them. Trivium I've heard mixed reviews about. I don't care much for them, but a good show is a good show.

They used to be amazing live, he said this: "I saw them like 4 years ago, and they were absolutely amazing, then I saw them the next year, they were still pretty good, then like 2 years ago they were good, but kinda crappy, then I saw them last year and left early they were so ****ty,"

That's disappointing. I was thinking that since they've gone for a more aggressive "heavy metal in your face" style, their live show would be more energetic. I guess I'll just have to wait and see for myself in November.

I saw them last year, and they stole the show from Lamb of God...I could not move my neck for a week after seeing CoB, so meh.

So your friend must be an idiot or saw them on a night where it wasn't there best night.

Probably a shitty night, cause James knows what he is talking about.

Damn the boards are slow today. :( I'm not used to being able to do homework without distraction.

I wrote a three page autobiographical narrative in half an hour. If mx was at the level it was supposed to be at, it would've taken me all weekend to write.

Yeah, really. My new review hasn't really gotten any comments. Here check it out again and tell me what you think. I think it's one of my better reviews.

I wish that happened to me. When MX is slow, I just get lazier to compensate for it. So I never end up getting ahead in my work.

That's what I've been doing. Instead of finishing my history homework I've been sitting here, waiting for someone to post. :(

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2005 05:12 PM

Well, I do that the other 95% of the time. Usually I don't have homework, which is odd, considering that I have 2 AP classes.

My school rawks.

NP: Nine Inch Nails- Hurt

Dangit, I can already feel myself becoming a NIN fanboy.

Shadows 10-02-2005 05:13 PM

Come on, join the ranks. You need The Fragile next.

I'm in AP too. My AP literature class never gives us homework, but AP Euro history gives homework every single day. :(

Thor 10-02-2005 05:15 PM

I just got The Downward Spiral today, and this is my first time really listening to NIN. It's pretty good, but I'd rather listen to my Death CD which I also got today. :thumb:

Shadows 10-02-2005 05:16 PM

I'll just have to pwn all of you with my new Vital Remains CD.

Thor 10-02-2005 05:17 PM

Is it good enough to beat Scream Bloody Gore? If so, I'll have to get that pretty soon.

Shadows 10-02-2005 05:18 PM

It is. I much prefer Vital Remains to Death.

Thor 10-02-2005 05:20 PM

You might have to send that to me as well. :thumb:

Responses to what other posts I can remember to respond to;

Yes, I like Death. Very much so. Still need to get Vital Remains.
