So is Underoath. Gross. I'll still be there just for Thrice.
I don't know either of the opening bands, but I saw Veda open for Dredg a month or so ago...not great unfortunately :-\

Pokemon needs to come back. I need to waste my money on something other than Wonka Bars. I've come to realize I'm never going to get that Golden Ticket.

Understanding In a Crash 09-01-2005 10:32 PM

This is like the first time I've seen so much music discussion in this thread...
The only song I really liked off that was Zombies Are Good For Your Health. I love Tear From The Red.
I think Tear From The Red is such a weak album. You Come Before You, the way that album flows. It pretty much changed my life.

I was supposed to see Veda with Emery and Dredg, but one of the members got sick, so they weren't at my date.
I think I've picked a couple of your favorites. First Say It Like You Mean It, and now You Come Before You. :D

I wish that Thrice tour was coming here...
It's here for 2 days...I might go to both, as it's a Saturday and Sunday :D
I was thinking about buying that CD.. but nah.

Does anyone have Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine and is it worth the money because its really expensive around these parts for some reason.
I have it, and I like it. Some people don't. It's different for them. It's expensive because it has a DVD too, killer footage of live stuff. That is worth it for sure.

Eh, didn't miss much, the singer doesn't fit the music well imo.

You get two dates, I get zero. That's fair... :upset:

And Thrice got rained out at the local Warped show too.

Oh serious I could of sworn the CD case looked like a fatty. Harder? Softer? Guitar work? Irony Is a Dead Scene was good.

cbmartinez 09-01-2005 10:36 PM

Miss Machine is awesome. They have those radio friendly poppy choruses that throw you off but they can shred too.

That Thrice tour is coming here on Halloween so I don't think I'll be going.

I remember you told me that before, that sucks so bad. They're amazing live. Be sure to see them whenever you can.

Miss Machine is a good album. I enjoy it.

I downloaded it though, so I haven't seen the DVD or anything.

More melodic, different vocalist. Most prefer Dimitri, but I like Greg. It's got a few poppier pieces, but not necessarily softer per se.

Botchla is a really good song.

It's inspired me to name my kids Botch and Vern and raise them to be in a motorcycle gang.

I probably did. I've said it a lot because it was really disappointing. If they come here, you can be sure I'll be there though.

cbmartinez 09-01-2005 10:38 PM

Botchla, Sticks And Stones..., Parks And What You... are the only standout tracks. But the tone sounds so bad.

Haha, obviously. The Earth Will Shake is also an amazing song, so much different from their other stuff, and still just as great, if not better.

Rawr. That and Coheed, I can't choose my number one.

cbmartinez 09-01-2005 10:44 PM

I had the live version of Image but it was such horrible quality I couldn't listen. I'm just gonna wait until they release it officially or whatever.

Trying to see if their are any good albums to buy out right now.. I need something sexually inspiring.

cbmartinez 09-01-2005 10:46 PM

Ugh, I really don't get the big deal with Coheed. In Keeping is mediocre and I thought "Welcome Home" was mediocre too. "The Suffering" is catchy even if it does use the same melodies as "dear my friends, in the time we spent."

I just love them. I love everything about them. I know some people don't, but thats why we're all individuals right? Well, except for every scene kid out there now.

I don't like scene kids too much. Luckily there aren't any at my school. The people in my school don't even listen to scene bands. They just listen to pop.

I think it'd be better if they at least were into bands like the Bled and (new) Underoath. At least I can enjoy those bands, unlike the hip-hop garbage that's on the radio, and enjoyed by 95% of the idiots at my school.
