Maybe you have to delete things from it just using the iPod itself, away from the computer.
EDIT: Are you sure, 'tender? You're not online for me.
I can see you online, and other people. Appears to me for all the world as if I'm signed in.

IAJP 10-02-2005 06:13 AM

I got it I think.

There's a playlist, "Most Played, Recently Added, Top 25 Songs" etc. I think I have to delete the songs from there.

Arrakakaka 10-02-2005 06:15 AM

Disconnect your iPod first, then delete the songs on your computer. Then re-plug your iPod back in.

No problem :D

Bartender 10-02-2005 07:15 AM

So, I'm wondering, how many albums released this year (preferably not counting reissues or late, different country releases) have you all bought?

I ask because I usually seem to end up buying albums that have been released in any year but the current one - more often than not, from several years before at least - and this year I've made a vague effort to actually buy more than two or three newly released albums. And I don't feel I'm doing well. Here's my list;

Jesu - Jesu
Miocene - A Perfect Life With a View of the Swamp
Twin Zero - Monolith
General Patton vs the X-Ecutioners
Beck - Guero
Fantomas - Suspended Animation
Miasma and the Carousel of Headless Horses - Perils
Infidel? / Castro! - Bioentropic Damage Fractal
DJ Spooky vs Dave Lombardo - Drums of Death
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

How about the rest of you?

Stoic 10-02-2005 07:31 AM

I really want to focus onto new releases as well. Most of the albums I buy are 00s releases. Here are the 2005 releases I own:

Communic - Conspiracy in Mind
Criterion - The Dominant
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked
Origin - Echoes of Decimation
Slough Feg - Atavism

superpeer 10-02-2005 07:35 AM

None. :\

I have a CD-R of Lullabies to Paralyse, that's it. I hardly ever go out and buy new albums, they're usually expensive. I mainly buy older albums.

Arcturus - Sideshow Symphonies
Porcupine Tree - Deadwing

The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan.
Gorillaz - Demon Days.

That's the only three albums released this year that I've bought.

Meh, it's raining outside. I wish I was in a warm pub with one of these babies.

I just bought it from Amazon.co.uk, since it as reasonably cheap there. It's very good. I don't know if you're familiar with their earlier stuff, but it's more or less a mix of their styles on Refining the Theory and Cellular Memory. It's not perfect, but very good.

Anyway, it's not that I want to buy just specifically newly released albums - I still buy a lot more older albums than I do new, for example. It's just, when it gets to the end of the year and people ask me what I thought, album of the year, etc, I always feel bad that I can't speak with authority on more than three or four releases.

I doubt people get to hear that many new releases. Only editors who receive 20 free promos per month manage to do this.

Thor 10-02-2005 09:03 AM

Last night I took a three minute piss, literally. I'm quite impressed by that.

Anyone else ever take a massive piss?

I did, but not a 3 minute
about 1,5/2 minute pissses are nothing expeptional for me.
long pisses rule, especially if you take them in the woods, it just feels relieving (sp?)

Fair point. Which is what makes music journalism so attractive, I suppose.

Oh well. *listens*

it's going alright I guess. So far, a couple of viruses have been tracked down. I wonder whether anti virus software companies are the one who actually spread viruses in order to sell more of their software :p

Anyway, you should look for the last ToA EP. I've already told you that I had it and deleted it by mistake. To me it sounded even better than their full length.

Some of the anti-spyware software certainly do that, I have a list of them somewhere. Some are cool, I think, though.

My friends brother does this.

His manager is in some weird ring of people who can get almost every song ever.

So I was in my mates, and I go, "Oh man, what's this?"
*pointing to Silver thing on top of his Tower*.

And he goes, "Oh, that's just my external Hard Drive, it holds 180GB".

Shocked, I checked his My Computer, and sure enough, it was 180GB, and he gets it filled every month from his brothers manager. It was storing about 120 GB worth of music, Games (AREA 51 NO LESS!), Movies and all manner of ilegal stuff.

What is the world coming to?! Pirates, the lot of 'em!

good luck with the virus scanning, I will be going out to have dinner with some friends in a bit so I will porbably speak to you later this evening

A lot of it is free though, like Ad-Aware and Spybot SD. Excellent programs, and they don't cost a dime. I should probably run those today, been about a month.

Every month? Dear god. I just checked my computer, and after having it for a couple of years, I've only used 27.3 of 70 gigs. :amaze:

I'm sure that number will rapidly multiply once I get *drumroll* WIRELESS!

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2005 10:04 AM

Dredg- Catch Without Arms
Porcupine Tree- Deadwing
System of a Down- Mezmerize
The Mars Volta- Frances the Mute
Arcturus- Sideshow Symphonies
Queens of the Stoneage- Lullabies to Paralyze

That's all I've gotten so far.

Or should I just get a crack version?

You can find a cracked version on almost any P2P, you can't register that one online though.

2005 Purchases, to the best of my recollection:

Daft Punk - Human After All
Grand Magus - Wolf's Return
Enthroned - Xes Haereticum
Mylo - Destroy Rock and Roll
General Patton Vs. the X-Ecutioners
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth

Don't worry, I've had tiimes that I was here for 5 minutes, close some threads and leave again for a couple of months. It happens when you're a long time member. I think everyone of us have had it, except maybe Bartender. ;)

I dont have it but I've heard it has more possibilities than powertab. I've seen people sharing it on Soulseek or on DCC++ so I dont think it's hard to get.
I think everyone of us have had it, except maybe Bartender
He was gone for several weeks during summer. Alright he was on vaccation but he pointed out that for a week he was at home and didnt use the internet!!

I havent had this "I'm fed up with MX thing" yet. In fact I see that the more
"regular" I get the more attached I become. :)

I think this is because the forum has been slacking lately due to the fact that summer's gone and people devote less time in here.

Ad Absurdum 10-02-2005 11:03 AM

I thought the forums were really good during the summer, it's gone downhill a bit though. It's probably just cause I'm glancing in every couple of hours rather than spending half an hour or so browsing like I did during the summer.
