Yeah and it pretty much ruins the album.
I like the production on Fall albums at times, but sometimes it's really bad

pulseczar 05-31-2007 08:42 PM

Brian Eno - Another Green World
Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs
hadn't listened to either in a long time.

Sexypastries 05-31-2007 10:44 PM

"the truth" is possibly one of the best rap songs to ever come out

confirm/deny

pulseczar 05-31-2007 10:56 PM

yeah it's pretty awesome, Talib and Pharoahe make killer tracks together.

Boris with Michio Kurihara - Rainbow
Caribou - Andorra
Terrific new record. I can feel a little more Up In Flames returning on some tracks - & also taking a lot of the sound towards a psych-pop. It's very nice.

br3ad_man 06-01-2007 06:58 AM

Kayo Dot
Joy Divsion
The Cure

I've been listening to so much Kayo Dot that I think they have to be my favourite band or something.

Interstate 06-01-2007 07:05 AM

The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I
Finch - What It Is To Burn
The Movielife - The Movielife Has A Gambling Problem

AlienEater 06-01-2007 07:34 AM

Icarus Line - Mono

If the new album is anywhere near as good as this or the other one, I'll be happy

Annuals - Be He Me
The Thermals - The Body, The Blood, The Machine

Dizzee Rascal - Maths + English
Can't believe that the goddamned label isn't releasing a CD version of this in the states, only a digital release. So, I broke down and ordered it from a British retailer - cost me a leg and a half though. Hopefully the gesture will let XL know that grime has enough fans in the US to support them.

Besides that jive, the record's great. Specifically cuts like "Paranoid", "Pussyole", "Hardback (Industry)" and "Wanna Be". And of course, the single, "Sirens" is wonderful as well.

Was just about to post:

Dizzee Rascal - Maths and English

One of the most anticipated releases of the year for me, and it does not dissapoint. Fantastic record - clever, upbeat, grimey, pop hooks. Dizzee finally cracked the sound I've wanted him to take on ever since his debut.

Glitterati 06-01-2007 08:01 PM

Scissor Sisters - Ta-Dah!

What a great record

Boilermaker 06-01-2007 08:07 PM

Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
Meat Puppets - Up on the Sun

I finally checked out Up on the Sun, and it isn't near as good as II, but it's still a really good record.

Zebra 06-01-2007 10:16 PM

Black Dice - Beaches and Canyons
Black Dice - Broken Ear Record

I love this band.

you know how when you search for a band on youtube, you always get some shlub band that tagged their videos with the names of their more popular influences? well this is the first time i actually liked what i found (or clicked on it at all, for that matter). searching for Scratch Acid vids, i found this cool noisy rock clip:
