HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA some girl has that at my school.

Some kid in my town thought they "Misfits" was a clothing line. I have never slapped somebody that hard since that incident.

Educate those fags.

Shirts that people dont even need to know the band to wear:

Led Zepplin
Black Sabbath
Metallica
Ramones
Misfits
ACDC
Nirvana
That song is so fun to play, the verses are easy, but the chorus is just so great to play. (Thrice that is)
I chose it because

A) no screaming (We'll never find someone who can scream)
B) It's not All That's Left
C) I can probably manage the riff (I haven't really tried)
D) The other guitar loves thrice
E) My bassist is amazing, and I'm sure he's getting bored playing Finch. Stare At The Sun has a groovy bass line to keep him busy.

Meh, I've been around these forums since like January 2004. New account in July '04, and finally started really posting this summer. I guess you'll know me eventually eh?

Ah, I love the bass in that song. The riff isn't too bad, its just REAL fast.

I see shirts with those bands on them all the time. It's kind of annoying.

And the people in my school listen to the most mainstream garbage you could imagine. It would take some work to turn things around.

cbmartinez 09-01-2005 10:22 PM

The Misfits are so awesome.
I like the new album I thought the breaks were alot better in Bless the Martyr but I love the guitar work as a whole alot better in O GOD!

O GOD THE KELLY!@
Yeah, the guitar work improved like ten fold. Those rhythms and time signatures are incomprehensible sometimes.

Only if I decide I like you. :)

Otherwise I'll just ignore you and/or make fun of you constantly.

Fair enough. At least we know what the Lorax is. Haha  .

/is now listening to Choking Victim

That's quite a stretch lyrically from Norma Jean to Choking Victim.

Understanding In a Crash 09-01-2005 10:25 PM

It's really hard to be a good live screamer, even in the bigger bands forget local bands. I never understand how local bands could ever play metalcore/hardcore well without having state of the art equipment/sound system because usually they overpower the bass and the drums and it sounds like a mess. Being a good live screamer is also really hard because most of these bands record one line, go jerk off, and do another, until the song is over.

The Crowing 09-01-2005 10:25 PM

Yea, getting called xIBS gets old after a while. Xibs, thats actually a pretty cool sounding name.

It's what I call people who have the same name as someone else.

I want to see them live because the shifty upbeats and downbeats on the breakdowns are really weird and they probably do sound cruddy live :thumb:

I like to be surprised though.

cbmartinez 09-01-2005 10:29 PM

From what I can tell the new Vendetta Red CD is about a girl getting raped by a preist while another girl watches, then getting killed, then someone gets castrated, then random nuclear holocaust then someone comes back and kills the preist.

The newer stuff I can play most all of.

Older stuff is a lot harder.

For example, I can play the intro lead riff to Deadbolt, but I always mix up the amount of open notes you play (sometimes it's one, sometimes two.).

I saw a live video and was surprisingly impressed.

Does anyone have Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine and is it worth the money because its really expensive around these parts for some reason.

I think I've picked a couple of your favorites. First Say It Like You Mean It, and now You Come Before You. :D
