Maggot Dream 04-21-2006 02:40 PM

I'm probably going to see them this summer at Red Rocks. Saw them there last summer too, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Help me guys. I don't know if i should buy a pro or intermediate kit.

I mean, i would love a pro kit and i don't want to waste my money upgrading twice.

I also don't really think i DESERVE a pro kit.

tell me what you guys think.

Futuro 04-21-2006 02:58 PM

If you have the money buy pro. If it is what you want of course...

If you get a sonor force 3005 you will be set forever.

Juicy_Forlorn 04-21-2006 03:24 PM

Faith I'm looking at your myspace now. I've listened to Dreaming Waves and I'm about halfway through Moonlight.
Everything sounds great so far. Too bad you don't have anything to actually record it with.

Come to florida and see us live.

We do the Pegasus alot.

Also these are only our shorter "radio style" songs. You would like our other stuff alot more. Our biggest influence is probably Porcupine Tree for the longer stuff.

Intermediate.

To reap the full benefits of a pro kit, you really need to have been playing for 10+ years. One of the main benefits you get when you get a pro kit is the enhanced tuning range. Tuning ability comes with experience.

Sounds like a plan. Florida is only a few hours away by plane :p.

Do you think you would be able to send me any of your other stuff? I have the guitar pro 4 demo; would I be able to play them with that? I'd like to hear some of the other stuff.

so my friend finally got estimates for everything we're doing to this one guy's '68 firebird. along with a brand new engine, his estimate came out to $19,925.62 canadian. :amaze: and that's without labour charges. just parts. (the school doesn't charge for labour, since it's students doing the work). i spent today overhauling his starter. spent a good 15 minutes trying to get a snap-ring off, and another 10 trying to get it back on.

and for some reason, one of the kids in my class decided to bring his bbq along with hotdogs and coke, so we just cooked hotdogs all day. it was great.

[/QUOTE]ROFLMAO.

So your going to an automotive school?

I graduated from one 2 years ago

Win A Rabbit 04-21-2006 04:37 PM

no, i'm really just taking it for the credits in high school. don't really have any plans to pursue it after high school. it's just one of those classes that's real easy to take, and you get to work with friends and such.

Oh ok, didn't know high schools had Automotive courses.

If you actually retain any of the info you should, look into becoming a mechanic. I was making BIG BUCKS when I was a Bay tech for UPS. You can get ALOT of money....

SkaRabbit 04-21-2006 04:52 PM

never realy had an interest in cars but wish i had.

Win A Rabbit 04-21-2006 05:00 PM

i was thinking about working as a mechanic or going to school to learn more about cars and such, but it's just one of those things where i know i'd get sick of it and quit/drop out in no time. it's something i like right now, but i'm very sure i won't want to be doing it down the road.

fishbulb 04-21-2006 05:00 PM

Man, my spanish teacher is so oblivious to anything that i do in his class. He was talking to me while i was doing my homework that was due that day and didn't notice. And that was while tons of people around him were on his computer with the grades on it...

Snarz 04-21-2006 06:56 PM

My brother being a Mechanic. But my family comes form a background of cars.Lol

fishbulb 04-21-2006 07:04 PM

Snarz 04-21-2006 07:05 PM

Lol.I guess nobody had anything to say...

Drum Phil 04-21-2006 07:06 PM

Snarz 04-21-2006 07:06 PM

fishbulb 04-21-2006 07:07 PM

I have a horrible stench.

Phil, where do you post? Anywhere other than the drum forums?

Also, anybody heard of making octobans with PVC piping? I saw that in a modern drummer and thought that it would be cool to make some.

Snarz 04-21-2006 07:08 PM

Ya I think somebody made some about a month or 2 on here but I for get who.Search the fourms.

fishbulb 04-21-2006 07:08 PM

I hate the search on these forums, never comes up with anything until you put in drum.

fishbulb 04-21-2006 07:12 PM

As you can see, i found it.

Snarz 04-21-2006 07:14 PM

Lol I just noctied that.

Janeway 04-21-2006 07:31 PM

I think I could get away with setting a house on fire.
Nobody would suspect me. No way in hell.
If I just sneak out at 4am, pull a ski mask over my face, wrap my feet in tape, spray the house with gas and throw a book of lit matches, I could totally get away with it.

Cocaberry 04-21-2006 07:35 PM

Yeah, Too much of chad smith. I could listen to RHCP if there songs differed once and a while. But a double disc of them, no thanks.

White 04-21-2006 07:41 PM

Ya, Just got back from renting . Rush-In Rio,Drumline,And The Who

Should be a wicked night. How is Rush In Rio?. I plan on watching that second, after Drumline

Janeway 04-21-2006 07:42 PM

Drumline....
Ha.

Futuro 04-21-2006 07:42 PM

Drumline sucks my nuts. Rush in Rio is pretty awsome, But the fans are loud.

White 04-21-2006 07:44 PM

I rather enjoyed the half of Drumline I saw lol. but Ya, Im starting to really get into Marching snare so this should help me decide if thats what I want to try and excell in the most

Cocaberry 04-21-2006 07:46 PM

Drumline sucked. The only good part was the final drumming battle at the end. Some of the other drumming throughout the movie was pretty good but the general storyline and subplots sucked.

White 04-21-2006 07:48 PM

ya, but Im happy to see a movie about drums lol. G2g hockey game is over so I can watchi it now lol. c ya
