Clever title though.
Listen you little idiot.

This isn't the official Tool fanboy santuary, okay?

It's for dicussion of Tool. If someone wants to voice an opinion that doesn't jive with your blatant fanboyism.

Too fucking bad!
examples of my "fanboyism" please. you jackass
Clever title though.
At least it borderlines on originality. Clever to say the least though, yeah, heh.

lucky luciano 04-22-2006 08:17 PM
You never contribute anyways, so just go die, thanks.

So my least favorite true song on the album is Rosetta Stoned. Sounds very drawn out to me...Still good, but eh, very long. :p
Contribute to what? Most of the time I come in here it's people arguing about stupid **** JUST LIKE THIS:eek:
I just made one comment, I wasn't a dick about it, I just made my point and went about my business. Of course I can't come back to the thread without seeing a stupid son of a bitch like yourself posting immature **** for no reason and accomplishing nothing other than showing everyone how much of a douchebag you really are. Please don't try to reply to this, you will only make yourself look like more of an idiot and clutter up the thread. You've made your point: your a dumbass and I've made mine: I don't like douchebags. Have a nice day contributing to your illegal download discussion.
examples of my "fanboyism" please. you jackass
Charming was getting pissed in the Bodom thread about Tool fanboys. Just tune him out.

I must say, I'm really loving Jambi as of late...the bass absolutely SLAYS in that song.

Futuro 04-22-2006 08:28 PM

Rosetta stoned is a Tool Cover band, that Tool, prior to releasing this album new about...

Static 04-22-2006 08:30 PM

Hey Futuro, I saw you were trying to get tickets for Boston.

I live in Milford. How bout you?

(and I got 3 tickets :D)

Futuro 04-22-2006 08:33 PM
Really? How did you find that out?
Seen em.

EDIT: to the guy who deleted his post
Hey Futuro, I saw you were trying to get tickets for Boston.
Florida haha, But I was going to check out Berklee soon, so I decided why not see Tool while I am there.
Oh haha. Sister goes to Berklee.

What is this?

Some of it fits, like Lipan Conjuring, but the wings things isn't really..."right."

SmashingPumpkin 04-22-2006 08:39 PM
I really don't care if all of you guys download the album, but it really sucks when I can't even come to this ****ing thread anymore without reading descriptions of the album in every post. Then don't come into the thread. Simple as that.:smoke:

Ah, the Andy King review. Well, he thinks there are only 10 tracks, so that was wrong.

And who knows? I don't recall hearing a gong anywhere on the album...

JakeB. 04-22-2006 08:52 PM

Seems like he just thought Lost Keys and Rosetta stoned were the same track

SmashingPumpkin 04-22-2006 09:08 PM
Seems like he just thought Lost Keys and Rosetta stoned were the same track
Yeah, I would probably think so too, had I not seen the tracklist lol.

And do your files of the songs seem to have extra white space between them? Because mine don't seem to transition very well, especially between Lost Keys and Rosetta Stoned.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-22-2006 09:40 PM

Yeah, there's a 2 or so second gap between the songs. Wierd. :-/ I was wondering if that was just my version or not.

Lucy - But you're a dick every other time you come in this thread. All you do is ruin the flow of things with your angst with whatever is going on. You leave, I'll stay, and I will have a nice day. Better than yours at least, I mean, I'm listening to the new Tool album and you're not. Too bad.

CaptainWaits 04-22-2006 09:43 PM

Today I bought Lateralus in a "2 for $15" deal along with Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here".

A couple years ago I was a big Tool fan, but since then I've lost almost all of my interest in them. I'm looking to hopefully get back into them, so I started with gladly buying Lateralus...

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-22-2006 09:45 PM

Best 15 dollars you may ever spend, my friend. Those albums are probably two of my top 20 favorite albums. Good luck getting back into Tool, though. :)

done.
i agree about the bass. as a matter of fact i think his tone is just crushing on the whole thing.

Esoteric_Creator 04-22-2006 10:06 PM

I think this is were I'm going to leave off. The album is but a mere 11 days away, and I don't want to risk having my pre-assumptions that what I have already heard..

The teasers were great, Incubliss, and I think you for them. It was not irresponsible to hear them simply because it is no different than what will be sampled at either MTV.com, Amazon.com, Yahoo.com, etc, etc, very soon. So, the arguement is invalid. Maybe someday the kiddos will understand..

So, I'll leave you kiddo's to the leaks and discussions. Have fun, and I'll see you after the ride..!

studmuffin 04-22-2006 10:31 PM

so I've got the song 10000 days on and at the beginning i thought it was Primus's southbound pachyderm.

This is a thread for Tool discussion, the new album leaked, there will obviously be discussion about it in here. I'm sorry that the world doesn't revolve around you. Maybe you should start your own thread for those who haven't downloaded the album so you can akwardly discuss whatever you want, but you're better out of this thread.

Anyways, who else has noticed the frequency of this new album's music going from speaker to speaker? I think it happens in just about every song, it's more apparent when you're listening with headphones though. I kinda like the speaker to speaker thing, it f'ucks with my head a little.

Haha.

I'm Charming 04-22-2006 10:41 PM

I've noticed.

This is the only time I've ever seen fans of any bands, waiting for an album to come out before hearing/downloading it. Even if they wouldn've bought it anyway.

Darkness 04-22-2006 10:42 PM

Then you should have been in the Opeth thread last August. Some of us were doing the exact same thing.

CaptainWaits 04-22-2006 10:42 PM
Good luck getting back into Tool, though. :)
So far it's looking great. I'm listening through Lateralus right now for the first time in ages, and I'm just finishing up "The Grudge", but I'm already starting to love this shit again. Also, now that I've recently become a pretty big prog fan, that deffinetly plays a part in me liking Tool again...

I'm Charming 04-22-2006 10:44 PM

I'm going to get out Anemia later and give it a listen. I used to LOVE that album. I wasn't a big fan of the others though.

AA-12 04-22-2006 10:45 PM

NP: Tool - Right In Two

I love this song soooo much.

That was what I thought, too!

Ah, the good ole days.

Det_Nosnip 04-22-2006 10:59 PM
