It might have not been the most musical thing in the world but his technical skill is stupidy high.

Violin Bow > Drill.

Less than 4 months 'till Download. :D

Stormrider 02-11-2006 07:25 AM

Hey guys, to make a long story short...this teacher at my school yesterday told me that Metallica have written almost all their songs on acoustic and then changed it to electric. He said he found that in interviews or something.

Is that true ?

Father 02-11-2006 07:52 AM

I dont see how they wrote the "Kill em all" stuff on acoustics.

Doctor Night 02-11-2006 08:05 AM

I doubt it.

Chu 02-11-2006 08:33 AM

I can definately see that happening, my mate who plays in a sort of Deathy/Grind band writes all his guitar on an accoustic.

He says it prevents him from playing around with the guitar, and just write music.

Jev 02-11-2006 09:07 AM

They play Motorbreath acoustic sometimes right? They could've wrote all of KEA on Acoustic. By They, I mean James. He probably came up with the basic riffs on an acoustic.

Aw3someman 02-11-2006 11:17 AM
I have a signed ESP version of that. I'm waiting for Mustaine's SD sig. pickups so I put them in it.

I hope Kirk will have some pent up rage for solos on the next album
I got a Flying V from my dad last year signed by Marty Friedman, Mustaine, Hetfield, and Hammet. :naughty: My dad told me it was a bitch to get them to sign it b/c of the Metallica Megadeth Feud.

Jev 02-11-2006 11:18 AM

How the hell did he manage that?

Doctor Night 02-11-2006 01:06 PM

They Play 4 Horsmen acoustically sometimes.

Jev 02-11-2006 01:13 PM

I need to hear that. I swear I've heard it somewhere before though.

2muchket! 02-11-2006 01:55 PM

Four Horseman acoustic would be good to hear methinks. I'll have to track that 'un down.

E_man 02-11-2006 02:36 PM

So MetallicA are playing at Download so I going to see them, BUT my mum (I'm 17 but I live with my mum so its house rules) will never let me go to a festival, she lets me go to gigs and stuff but a festival is probably going to push it. But seeing as I will probably only get to see them once in my lifetime (I am a HUGE fan by the way) I have no choice...I'm going to see them.

But that means one thing, lieing to her, saying that I'm going camping with a couple of mates (which is true of sorts) over the weekend. I'm all up for doing it, but I was just wondering what all u MX MetallicA fans thought of it as well.

I'm never into lieing...but I would if that was the case. Just go ahead and do it and if she ever asks just tell the truth.

They better come to san antonio on the next tour. They've only came like twice in the whole career. Other wise I'm hauling my butt to austin and paying 400 for a nosebleed seat

Just go or buy a day ticket and just go Saturday.

Squirrel 02-12-2006 08:06 AM

So when Hetfield went into rehab for alcoholism and 'other addictions' - what were these other addictions ?

Jev 02-12-2006 08:12 AM

I don't know, he always claimed to not touch drugs.

Squirrel 02-12-2006 08:17 AM

Well not really seeing as he was a pot head in his early days.

OMGWTFLOLZORDS 02-12-2006 09:58 AM

I bet it's the same hands on the cover of KEA, MOP and Anger

E_man 02-12-2006 10:34 AM
I bet it's the same hands on the cover of KEA, MOP and Anger
Maybe they have a hand fetish...I reckon its Ulrich

Jev 02-12-2006 11:10 AM

Ulrich has a money fetish. Not a hand fetish.

OMGWTFLOLZORDS 02-12-2006 11:11 AM

"ulrich" haha

Do it, be a man.

Jev 02-12-2006 11:31 AM

So who here's going Download?

King_Karl 02-12-2006 11:33 AM

I picked up the Cunning Stunts dvd a few months back for £5. It's pretty sweet if you can pick it up on the cheap.

Jev 02-12-2006 11:41 AM

The Syncing annoys me. They filmed over two nights and chose the best audio and best video. Sometimes these don't match so the song is out of sync.

Prince of Darkness 02-12-2006 12:11 PM

I'm seeing Metallica in March.

Aw3someman 02-12-2006 12:31 PM

I'm seeing Metallica when they tour the states. The damn EFTS tour is only europe.

Joe 02-12-2006 05:05 PM

For those interested in television production, like me, you NEVER do that.

No school tomorrow :thumb: I love snow

Happy I'll go with you to download

I need two tickets, one to the show and one to England.
Joe- I'd get you the tickets but money's a bit tight right now
Jev 02-13-2006 07:46 AM
