Veil Of Maya plays a good split between new and old material, also lol @ you not listening far enough in to hear It's Not Safe To Swim Today and still hating on the album.

VoM has like 3 good songs.

That's giving them an awful lot of credit.

It's Not Safe To Swim Today, Entry Level Exit Wounds and We Bow In Its Aura are pretty decent, the rest of the album is filler.

Tyler has too good of tastes (lol), HighAndDriving pretends to be on the level that he can act on that.

The point is, tons of people with good tastes like VOM, zero care if Sputnik users act too good for it.

Yeah but those kids probably listen to stuff that isn't post-metal or doom, or one of 7 death metal bands.

Veil of Maya have yet to write a complete song that impresses me. They seem to be able to churn out 2/3 songs every once and a while though.

I like everything on the first album, I like about half the songs written for the new album, and half the album is just songs from the old album.

Which is what makes me lol when people say old VOM is good and new VOM sucks... because new VOM is just old VOM with better production and vocals haha.

Hopefully their record label will give them some money for a less inept producer.

they're okay, not really interesting or distinct enough to be good or bad

basically yeah, really generic contemporary death metal. lots of really fast drumming and some shreddy leads and a vocalist whose style i cant remember for the life of me
