Battles are pretty sweet. Trippy to listen to when high.
That's true. I would say that they're just as good while sober, though. I absolutely love Mirrored from start to finish. I just get lost in that album. I find their music to be entrancing. |
Yeah, Mirrored is definitely my favorite of their stuff. It's good party music, too. The first time I heard them was at a friend's house when he had a bunch of people over, and just had Battles blaring over the stereo. It gives a good energy.
|
I have no idea how they're going to follow it. I mean, I'm sure they're working on something, they all say it's their primary band, but I just don't know...
|
Battles are okay Mirrored is a mad unsolid album though imo
Race In, Ddiamond, and Rainbow are the only songs I really like on it And even then ddiamond kinda annoys me |
LMFAO.
The co-leader of the Maori party of NZ is trying to make it so Maori students get into University free and without the appropriate qualifications but do a course to show they have reached required standards. WTF. This is ridiculous. It's their fault they don't study and pass one of the easiest ****ing school systems in this world.
In a speech yesterday Dr Sharples, who is Maori Party co-leader, said Maori should be able to go to university without any qualifications. "It's just providing entry for people to attend a student learning centre where they can reach the standard to do a degree."
Just ROFL. And this takes the cake:
The situation now where half of Maori boys were not gaining NCEA qualifications was "stupid, ridiculous and it's just intolerable". Action was needed.
LOL. Well I'm sorry if they aren't studying, which yes is stupid, ridiculous and it's just intolerable. Jesus christ. /rant. |
I never understood the fuss about Battles.
I'm not sure I understand this Maori thing. Is it just giving them to opportunity to do a high school equivalency diploma or something? |

They want them to walk into university without qualifications(University Entrance is what it's called, which is easier than passing actual high schoolL), aaaand for free! Who puts these people in power, honestly. |
So, if I'm a Maori dude under this rule, I haven't finished my high school qualifications or anything, I can just go "Hi can I please enrol in a medical degree?" and they have to let me?
That's bonkers. |
Yes. Pretty much.
They said that they are going to get this special school that brings them up to standard. LOL what is high school all about? If they can't even pass 5th form they have no chance of keeping university. In other news...This maori guy is trying to sell fake passports to pacific islanders that have overstayed their allowance in NZ. For 500 each. And they're interviewing him and because he's so stupid and knows nothing about immigration policy, they tricked him into admitting the passports have no legal relevance as far as the immigration ministry is concerned. Anyways. Music. Sex. Drugs. |
If they're trying to sneak the guys into uni they should just do it with rugby scholarships.
|
I think my $40 bike seat is one of the best purchases I've made in a while.
|
If they're trying to sneak the guys into uni they should just do it with rugby scholarships.
 They already do I'm pretty sure. Know how I said my Brice would take ages to get here? Guy sent it today, and it's already in Auckland at the depot XD SO hopefully get it tomorrow. |
"But what if I'm Maori, didn't go to school and I'm not good at rugby?"
Well, may god have mercy on your soul. |
Hahahaha. That should go on a billboard.
P.s. This isn't racism..it's hate on racism ;) |
wtf, a random cat just walked into my house.

I never understood the fuss about Battles.
I never knew there was any fuss about them. I only know a couple of people who really like them, and a lot more who really don't. I'm one of those people that has trouble figuring out what's not to like about them. |
Around here they were quite a trendy act for a while.
|
da **** is a maori is that just like a black person or what
|
The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand.
|

For the majority of those spots, they have to meet the same requirements as other students. |

Oh, working hard. You can tell because I'm on the internet. What's new? |
its racist to put poor performing people into positions of privilege based simply on their race
|
for that reason i pretty much have to have a 4.0 attached to my bachelor's to get into a half decent law school
cause im not black |
its racist to put poor performing people into positions of privilege based simply on their race
Quoted for truth. My friend Jeremy had to sit through an extra 2 years of pre-med, even though he had a 4.0 average and some of the best letters of recommendation I've ever read, because he wasn't a minority. His buddy, of Mexican descent, had a 3.5 average and was probably very lucky to receive those marks from the sounds of it. Mexibuddy was accepted right away. Jeremy finally got in and graduated in the top 1%, his buddy flunked out in his first year. Reverse-racism (aka "Affirmative Action") is still racism. |
I'm gonna buy an iPhone.
