I finished it, then I clicked next and it just froze and firefox had to shut down...
|
I got 51%
|
Whoa, I got 58% and mine was pretty much all guesses (Although some answers you could easily cross off...)
|
A lot of those questions were borderline-opinion questions.
|
I got 93%.
|
55%
alot of guesswork |
I got 93%.
holy smokes, highest one I got was 70%. what the hell is llama? |
43% on that test :(. I guess i'm not cool enough to be a DT fan.
|
hmm, it appears im a wannabe scoring 30% lol. oh well, im just started to get into the band anyway, A "llama" is: an animal lol
The glass prison was the song that got me into the band. |
I got a 52% on the quiz.
Isn't Portnoy considered a llama because he constantly spits when they play live? |
I got a 52% on the quiz.
oooooooooooooooh! I get it now. :D
Thats also why Petrucci built a plexi glass case around his amps. He didnt want Portnoy's spit on his amps. I just found out that DT is originally from Huntington, NY. That is about 15 minutes from me. I dont think they still live there though. I was pretty excited when I found out. |

Petruccis glass. Thats cool about where you live to though. |
What about JM question? Was he a highschool buddy with Portnoy or did he met him at Berklee?
|
I got 78%, a Majestic Nerd. Some of the questions in the quiz were a bit stupid though.
|
What about JM question? Was he a highschool buddy with Portnoy or did he met him at Berklee?
They grew up in the same town, so Im guessing High School. |
I dont know if this has been discussed, but the G3 DVD come out on the 25th. As you may or may not know, it features Vai, Satriani, and of cousre, John Petrucci.
Here is the link if you are interested. You can order the DVD and CD from the site. http://www.dreamtheater.net/news_petrucci.php#g3cddvd |
Wow I cannot wait to buy that one. I'm still mad that I missed the original G3 with Petrucci.
|
There are some decent Dream Theater wallpapers on the net it seems :thumb:
Edit: :( Actually, they all come from the one site which is down... |
6. Kevin Moore:
Hated his bandmates. Was the funny guy in the band. Quit DT to play classical piano. Is a technically superior player to Rudess and Sherinian. 7. John Petrucci: Is not a founding band member. Slings his guitar low just to look cool. Built a plexiglass shield around his stage amps. Made a guest appearance on the OSI album. 8. James LaBrie: Shares a hometown with his bandmates. Should start wearing a beard again. Studies opera. Hasn't released a solo album since Mullmuzzler. 9. John Myung: Is loud and boisterous. Was high-school buddies with Portnoy. Cut his hair off after SFAM. Is known to tackle bandmates on stage. 10. Mike Portnoy: Loves his alcohol. Is known to 'llama' several times in a show. Thinks Neal Peart of Rush is a great guy. Eats ass and balls. 11. Jordan Rudess: Graduated from Berklee. Has a paper fish on the side of his stage keyboard. Sings backing vocals. Chose to join DT instead of the Dixie Dregs. 12. Charlie Dominici: Wrote for the 'Images and Words' album, even though he didn't sing on it. Was the original vocalist back before DT was called DT. Reunited with the band for a commemorative show in 2004. Is roughly the same age as his former bandmates. 13. Derek Sherinian: Cut off all ties with DT members after being fired. Is a big Elton John fan. Had no creative input for "A Change of Seasons," despite playing on the recording. Was DT's top choice for a keyboardist after Kevin Moore quit.
What kind of answers are these? This test is crap. Edit: In the end I got 82% and a salute by Mike Portnoy :) |

So did I! The few I found that were 1280 x 1024 had no sources though :(
|
There's a lot of great DT wallpapers around. Try http://www.trialoftears.net/main.html
There was another one that was awesome (dt-x.com I think) but it appears to be down now. |
Yeah, that dt-x.com one is what google advertises, has HEAPS of good looking wallpapers in my opinion.
I ended up with some Train of Thought wallpaper from trialoftears.net. (The only one which didn't show all the members, I just wanted a picture that said Dream Theater) |
I got the surrounded one...
|
i had a 'this dying soul' wallpaper a few months back

Ah, As I am's main solo kicks you in the balls like a steel toecap, the filling after that is brilliant too...
|
Maybe I'm mistaken and all, but is Portnoy not refferred to as the Camel?
I'm positive Petrucci calls him Mike the Camel on the Budokan DVD. /me goes to check it out. |
No wonder Jones Beach got such a good setlist...DT must have paid tribute to their home state.
That's me. :D I love the part in the As I Am solo where he starts playing the triplets (I think they're triplets) really fast, and then slowly bends up the string. Gives me the chills. And depresses me, knowing I'll never be able to do that. :upset: |
So I checked it out and it is the Camel.
No wonder I got so many wrong. :p |
Maybe I'm mistaken and all, but is Portnoy not refferred to as the Camel?
