Well said. And to the person who had the jacket with the Briefs package...awesome. I met them at the Warped Tour (complete **** this year, in case you were wondering). They were very cool. I had never even heard of them before. I shared a Coke with this guy, forgive me for not knowing his name and stuff. They were cool dudes. I bought a shirt, and the guy offered to share some food since I couldn't afford any after the shirt.
Target doesn't ruin or destory a community with its prices. I'm going on a community level, if I went global, then Target would be as bad as Wal Mart, but I'm focusing on how every community that gets a Wal Mart loses all small business, and everything revolves around their 'low' prices.
why was i banned for that?

and target is the next biggest department store besides wal-mart...and their ultimate goal is to be like wal-mart, big and powerful and ruling the economy. theyre just as evil as wal-mart and puts a lot of businesses out of business too.

I agree. The only reason Target isn't as economically devastating as Wal*Mart is because they are not quite as powerful. It's not as if Target wouldn't abuse their power if given the chance. I mean really what kind of business says to themselves "Hmm, you know we could build a incredibly powerful corporate empire but it'd be bad for the community. Let's not."

xxGumbyxx 10-07-2005 09:15 PM

can someone make me a stencil of a badger. I've tried to do it myself but alas, I am quite unskilled. If someone did this for me I would forever worship them.

Flagjacket 10-07-2005 09:33 PM

I had no idea Gumby was straight edge.

This is one of the reasons I seriously think Punk Rock was doomed since 1978.

I'm going to be putting http://www.qwantz.com/stickers-disagree.jpg on a shirt for my friend's birthday.

Dinosaur Comics

Then I'm going to do the same thing with an achewood comic for another friend.

Zion Gates 10-08-2005 10:00 AM

what do you guys carve your stencils into...cardboard, or just paper or what?

asdf 10-08-2005 10:03 AM
what do you guys carve your stencils into...cardboard, or just paper or what?
Posterboard works well.

Zion Gates 10-08-2005 10:08 AM
Posterboard works well.
i dont have any lying around you have any other ideas, i did it in paper, but when i spray painted the sides just curled up and the stencil looked like ****
...i was thinking the cover of a magazine but iam not sure it will be strong enough

INSERT-NAME-HERE 10-08-2005 10:21 AM

Those manilla file folders work for me.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 10-08-2005 12:16 PM

My mom is a sonagrapher, so she gets me old x-ray film. It works really well, just a bit hard to cut.

RudeBoyStompin 10-08-2005 04:49 PM

Thin posterboard works pretty well. If you want to be able to use the stencil multiple times you might want to use acetate, though it's a little expensive.

I am too, I'm more hippie than Punk by far.
I want to stencil a dove on my cardigan.

skinnedmonkey 10-09-2005 09:04 PM

How can you be a hippie and a punk? Don't most punks despise the things hippies stand for, or the way they go about showing it, I know I do...

Zion Gates 10-09-2005 09:08 PM

i made my first stencil (gorilla biscuits) ...and put it on my this briefcase where i put my bass pedals + other bass junk in. Kinda like a pedal board i guess. Didn't come out very good, so i sprayed the spray paint from high up so that it looked like the bad stencil work was on purpose to add to the effect of the scattered spray paint. Btw it looks alot worse in the photos than in real life.

Not as far as I'm concerned. If anything hippies were the punks before punk was founded to me. I think if you look into some of their ideals they can be pretty similar.

This is just my opinion though.
