I'm not really sure how to describe the full length songs, but a good portion of the album reminds me of a Hip-Hop Fantomas. It's pretty good, my AIM name is Karn07 , hit me up if you want it.
I would, but AIM (and MSN, and p2p programs) won't let me transfer anything at the moment (I've become a gmail and yousendit hermit :)). Thanks though.

br3ad_man 02-19-2005 11:12 PM

I'd like to hear that as well. X-ecutioners rule.

The only thing I've listened to today is Frank Zappa'z "Hot Rats".

BillCosby 02-19-2005 11:16 PM

Xiu Xiu are pretty damn cool.

br3ad_man 02-20-2005 04:35 AM

Tru dat.

I just got Pelican's "Australasia". Apparently they are post-metal. I think this will be an interesting listen.

The Ashtray Girl 02-20-2005 12:23 PM

I'm digging my new Mercury Rev and Bloc Party albums.

talk show host 02-20-2005 12:30 PM

asymm 02-20-2005 01:12 PM

I've been reading the 33 1/3 book of it (and the OK Computer one and the Meat is Murder one)

You guys should check out these books, they're short, cheap and full of some great info.

dkmaddog 02-20-2005 01:14 PM

Starting to get into Robbers on High Street. Pretty good stuff.

Iai 02-20-2005 03:04 PM

leiferikson 02-20-2005 03:34 PM

Been brushing up on my Ted Leo in preparation for the gig in a couple of weeks. I hate going to gigs and being the only person who doesnt know the words and you swear that the singer is looking at you and thinking "what the **** is this chump doing here? he doesnt even know our ****ing songs"

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 04:06 PM

Ted Leo is the tits.

Is it with Rx or the Pharmacists?

biografiend 02-20-2005 04:39 PM

Someone on here suggested the Album Leaf to me awhile back and i checked them out today. they are very nice.

leiferikson 02-20-2005 04:45 PM

Pharmacists. Wait, im confused, you've confused me. I didnt realise RX were a seperate backing band. Whats going on?!

Luxor 02-20-2005 05:00 PM

Today I've listened to M83, Death Cab Fore Cutie, Air, Dashboard, MC5 and Slint.

Little Man being Erased 02-20-2005 05:03 PM

Picked up:

Bloc Party - Silent Alarm, and;
Talking Heads - Remain in Light.

Good shit.

Luxor 02-20-2005 05:04 PM

Mmmmmm, Talking Heads...

Electrocution 02-20-2005 05:06 PM
Pharmacists. Wait, im confused, you've confused me. I didnt realise RX were a seperate backing band. Whats going on?!
RX = pharmacists

ie: it's an abbreviation. I don't know what tangy is talking about

Little Man being Erased 02-20-2005 05:10 PM
Mmmmmm, Talking Heads...
Yes indeed.

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 05:41 PM

Haha.

I almost had him. Stupid Electrocution, spoil my fun.

leiferikson 02-20-2005 05:51 PM

Pff, just because i havent made 234824378324 posts doesnt mean im stupid

To be honest I havent heard much of the earlier Ted Leo stuff, my friend lent me the two most recent records and I liked them but havent really had time to delve deeper. The same friend, who is a proper Ted Leo fan, is the one who bought the tickets to the gig. So sorry for not having the encyclopedic knowledge on them that you so clearly possess

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 06:00 PM

Dude, what's with the outburst?

Did anyone insult you? Anyone call you stupid?

NO!

Zappa 02-20-2005 06:02 PM

When I do geography homework I listen to Talking Heads. Tonight will be no exception.

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 06:07 PM

You listen to too much Talking Heads, Zaphoid.

Get some mclusky in ya'!!!

leiferikson 02-20-2005 06:12 PM
Dude, what's with the outburst?

NO!
You clearly outlined your intentions to make me appear stupid for your own personal enjoyment! Like im some sort of rube to be laughed at. That hurt mister :upset:

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 06:16 PM

I'm on the internet, I'm on the internet.

It was a trick, I'm a trickster, I tried to tricksterise you. Build a bridge.

Zappa 02-20-2005 06:17 PM
You listen to too much Talking Heads, Zaphoid.

I think I have one McLusky song on my computer somewhere. I know I never listened to it, if I do.

Doctor D. 02-20-2005 10:11 PM

I second the Mclusky recomendation, if you want it, just hit me up A-Man.

Zappa 02-20-2005 10:12 PM
I second the Mclusky recomendation, if you want it, just hit me up A-Man.
Asymm is sending me a McLusky recording as I type this.

Well_Respected_Man 02-20-2005 10:12 PM

I've forgotten just how good Joy Division are.

True_Faith 02-20-2005 10:13 PM

biografiend 02-20-2005 10:19 PM
What's got you down?
Your face.

wheelz 02-20-2005 11:55 PM

i'm hitting some boards of canada for the first time in a while. i think smokes quantity just... yeah, it just made me orgasm, aka "blow my load".

br3ad_man 02-21-2005 12:30 AM

Which album, Zappa?

The Dillinger Escape Plan are rather nice. I like the Mike Patton on vocals EP the best, I haven;t really liked their other stuff much.

Other than that. I've just been listening to a demo cd one of my music teachers gave me, I'm going into the studio to record some tracks for it on Wednesday.

Tapeworm 02-21-2005 04:31 AM
I've forgotten just how good Joy Division are.
Ever since I finally saw 24 Hour Party People I keep getting random urges to listen to Joy Division.

Might do that now.

Also, the new Sage Francis album is absolutely wow.

BETH 02-21-2005 04:34 AM

portishead

Luxor 02-21-2005 11:34 AM
