It was chris poland but it is glen drover now he is not as good as any of the other megadeth guitaist ever.and his brother shawn drover plays drums now.

Frankly, I'd like to see Megadeth, Lamb of God and Shadows fall touring together. I'd pay a lot of money to see that tour. I hate dream theater..

Well, I saw Megadeth last night. Glen's an impressive Guitarist...I wasn't to keen on James though, his Bass solo didn't get me too excited. Anyway, I've posted the set list on the Titans thread, but I'm gonna post it here aswell.

I thought the Mechanix wasn't gonna be played, as they announced Holy Wars as the last song...but half way through they stopped and played Train of Consequences and Mechanix, it was rather good. There was a nice banner up on the balcony aswell that read "**** Metallica, Megadeth No.1" Dave looked up at it at the end of the gig and nodded in an agreeing way. Anyway! it was top notch.

I really feel bad for dave and would take him in my band over any of the guys in metallica anyday...truly LOVE dave(in a totally musical kind of way..hahaha)

ThrashMaster, that sounds awesome, you got a better setlist than me. I trust they still finished Holy Wars though, not hearing Dave's solo would suck. I want a picture of Dave with the banner, that sounds sick!

Oh yeah, they did two things like that...played Paranoid half way through Peace Sells aswell. But they finished both songs. I think Hangar 18 was probably my fave song of the night...All the solo's just flying about. 11 solos! you can't beat that.

I talked about them a while back in this thread. In one I was in my parents' car and we were just driving down the street and saw Dave walking on the sidewalk. I was just like "Holy shi[b][i][/b][/i]t its Dave Mustaine stop the fu[b][i][/b][/i]cking car!" and so I started talking to him. I said "WTF man you're supposed to be touring in Europe!" (at the time he was) and he was just "Oh shi[b][i][/b][/i]t you're right, could you guys give me a ride to the airport?" So we drove him to the airport, and while waiting for his flight, he got a mushroom haircut. I wasn't too happy about it, but then I woke up.

My other one I dreamed that I won that contest where you send in one of your original songs to Dave and he picks a winner. The winner gets an ESP DV8. So I dreamed I won it, and Dave personally came to my house to give it to me. Since he was there, I invited him into my basement/room and we jammed all day. Twas a good dream.

alright I guess that was pretty painless...and I bet it was a pretty good dream. I would jam with dave for hours myself.
Just make sure those nighttme thoughts dont get outta control!

If I meet Dave at Gigantour I think I'll tell him about my dreams.

Okay, so we are arguing over who is better at guitar Kirk or Dave in the Metallica thread. I know everyone in here thinks Dave, but can some1 give me a good explanation on why they think Dave is better than Kirk, without being a jack@ss?

dave has more to bring to the table for a band. he writes alot of lyrics and guitar. He solos really well. And hes been threw more than kirk so I think he automaticly should deserve a pat on the back. He was kicked out of one band...so he just decided to make his own. Great songwriter, guiarist, and bandmate give me the :thumb: for dave over kirk.

Dave's faster, more technical, and more versatile (that is, he plays some crazy rhythm and lead, and can solo in more keys than E minor)
