And anyway, i guess it just depends whether your listening to the music or touching yourself over the singer.
Ah...touché :p

Slapping Penguin 09-13-2005 04:38 PM

My brother showed me the song Dawn of Victory by Rhapsody a while back and I don't know what people are saying about this band been hard to get into but from then it was love at first hear. Thats what got me intrested in Power Metal appart from Iron Maiden.

I love Rhapsody, but I'm not too huge on that album. "Legendary Tales" and "Symphony of Enchanted Lands" are far better IMO. Try those if you haven't yet :thumb: .

Lord Abortion 09-14-2005 04:33 AM

Symphony of enchanted lands is my favourite Rhapsody album I think

ExitWound 09-14-2005 05:34 PM

Woo! Resurrection of a thread that needs it.

I have 3 songs from Gamma Ray's upcoming album MAJESTIC on my website for download. They are promo editions with some static for a few seconds here and there, but they're very listenable. BUY THE ALBUM WHEN IT COMES OUT ON SEPT 23RD!!
Shattered : No he isn't. Those drummers are the drummers of Arsis, Angra and Dissilusion, all VERY intersting drummers who can also blast the fuc out of their kits.

And anyway, i guess it just depends whether your listening to the music or touching yourself over the singer.
You do realize you're arguing with one of the biggest Nightwish fanboys in this forum? You're NEVER going to win. ;) :D

There's plenty of better drummers than Jukka...there's also worse. Get over it. :thumb:

What does everyone think of Savage Cirus in comparison to BG??

Stoic 09-15-2005 01:12 PM
What does everyone think of Savage Cirus in comparison to BG??
They can only be compared to pre Nightfall Blind Guardian since they're lean towards the speed direction while BG dont anymore. They're pretty good (Persuader are good as well) but for me old speed BG own them mainly because they have deeply touched me and been haunting me for years :)

Lord Abortion 09-16-2005 05:04 AM

Speed BG is awesome, I like it all, but I need to buy more.
Blast my lack of funds...

Riva 09-16-2005 07:08 AM
Awesome. \m/
Yeah, I was re-reading your Spotlight, and it suddenly clicked that I had seen an album by them a year ago. So I went to the store, and it was still there! \m/
here is a short update about what is going on at the moment:
Frederik did some kick *** drum arrangements for the new songs and now Oliver Holzwarth has started working on the bass arrangements. At the same time André, Marcus and I are fixing final arrangement issues but basically we have finished the biggest part of composing. We are going to start the production for the new album somewhere during the last days of August. As you can imagine everyone is highly motivated, excited and of course ready to go.

This is a a very rough schedule for the next months:

Late August - End of November:
Recordings Mixing of the first single
Videoshooting
December - January:
Mixing
February/March:
Promotion
Release of the first single
April/May:
Release of the album and Warm up shows
June - August:
Warm up shows
South America
Japan
Release of the second single
September - October:
Europe
November:
Japan
Australia
December - February:
USA, Mexico and Canada

We will keep you informed.

This is a short synopsis of what BG are going to be up to...

looks like a September/october European tour
Something to spend some Uni loan money on.

Iron Bars 09-16-2005 08:47 AM

Still a long wait. But it will probably be worth it.

shadow_stalker 09-16-2005 05:16 PM

I was kind of: pfff...alright :P

I find NIME the most accessible and IFTO the less accessible album.

Lord Abortion 09-16-2005 05:44 PM

I don't think NIME is really that acessable...
I mean all the spoken word bits and story parts make it a little difficult to get into...

NP- Dragonforce- starfire

Less than 20 hours :D

Lucky bastard...

I think ANATO is one of their most accessible...SFB still hasn't sunk in on me.

Iron Bars 09-16-2005 06:41 PM

SFB is better in my humbile opinion though. BG is one of the top PM bands for me.

Grrr..I'm going to have to wait over a year! But I guess that's a good thing, I'll have a few months to let my finances recover. Between uni, other shows, a new keyboard, and Japan, I'm going to need some time to crawl out of the pit of debt I'll be in by the end next summer.

Lucky! Tell everyone how it was :p
