I don't wanna check through all 132 posts to see if you guys aren't accepting anymore, so are you? LOL, I had to make a new account since I lost my other one when I got my new computer and I forgot the password, and for some reason it doesn't send well to my hotmail account, yeah...anyway...

Oh ya, my initials would be {HWTPD} For Holy Wars...The Punishment due by Megadeth
Hold it, are you that "syco" guy that made that Slipknot thread?

DimebagDarrell 06-11-2004 04:58 AM

"Oh ya, my initials would be {HWTPD} For Holy Wars...The Punishment due by Megadeth"

metdrummer 06-11-2004 06:43 AM

LordDargon 06-11-2004 07:11 AM

Thumbs: If there is a thrash album named David Ellefson, sure. but I doubt there is

metdrummer: I have heard a few songs, sounds good... I need to get more by them. What is their best album?

metdrummer 06-11-2004 07:25 AM

Infernal Overkill/Sentence of Death

:)
You actually thought red war was a good song? Its worse then new sepultura and new soulfly.
Like I said, it's not an incredible album, but I thought those songs were awesome for an 'on the run' mix ie on the train/bus. Oh was Red War the one with Cavalera? I'm thinking of the wrong track. Quite a few of the songs sound the same, I'm thinking of 'Silent Spring'. I still quite like Access though.

a8o 06-11-2004 08:12 AM

Don't underestimate the new Soulfly album I have been known to enjoy it at times.

DimebagDarrell 06-11-2004 08:19 AM

soulfly are alright and thats about it, sepultura went downhill without max and max went downhill without sepultura

When I was listening to the Probot album, I noticed that the music for Access Babylon sounds exactly like that on Alec Empire's Tear it Out remix. Download it and see, if you like.

DimebagDarrell 06-11-2004 09:04 AM

I think its time to change the thread title [if possible] from New Thrash Clan - Titans of Thrash to just Thrash Clan - Titans of Thrash because its hardly new anymore its a long established thread :D

Corporal Compendia 06-11-2004 04:34 PM

Oh RATMEvilEmpire...

I don't know where, but on July 28th, Infernal Majesty is coming to the 'Shwa. That is a show you can not miss if you call yourself a Titan of Thrash!!! They're touring all over Canada...

To celebrate, I am listening to None Shall Defy.

FatalEnergy 06-11-2004 04:56 PM
I listened to the probot album in the shop and it wasn't anything special. Only the motorhead song was truely like that from the vocalist's former band. I was really disappointed with the Tom Warrior song.
I liked some of the stuff like Centuries of Sin and Shake your Blood, but yes, the Tom Warrior song was pretty lame, I was hoping for his to great. The one with snake on it was pretty cool

Thats cool, I'll try and be there because that would be awesome. If you find out tell me where and I'll see about goin. Also I enjoyed parts of the probot album though I would say shake your blood is one of the best tracks. The one with snake was good too and I haven't listened lately so I won't comment anymore.

Good?

dead56k 06-11-2004 06:31 PM

i really like the probot album.

madthumbs 06-11-2004 06:34 PM

^ i found it pretty crap... i listened to most songs in virgin music, it just sounded crap.
any of you guys listen to Destruction?
I have their first two and last three. Pretty good if you are looking for that classic germanic speed/thrash sound. The Anti-christ is something special though, as is All Hell Breaks Loose. Pretty awesome, but not as good as Sodom or Kreator.

droz49 06-12-2004 02:05 AM

I know Venom isnt usually classified as thrash but alot of thier stuff is...... how can u listin to songs like..... Black Metal, Bursting Out, Countess Bathory, Die Hard + many many more and tell me it isnt thrash....... it has every thrash element to it...... mabye some of the lyrics, cuz not one person i have run into think this is thrash venom in my book is thrash.....

LordDargon 06-12-2004 06:25 AM

Venom is thrash.

Yeh, RATM, try and hit that Infernal Majesty show, it would be awesoem to see them.

DisposableHeroes 06-12-2004 07:14 AM

does anybody else disagree with what kirk hamster was saying about metallica inventing thrash? I mean venom and motorhead are about as close as inventors as you can get

DimebagDarrell 06-12-2004 09:50 AM

yes and no. motorhead was definetly an influence on thrash, but theyre more of like, Rock n roll. theyre great, but i dont think they are thrash metal. venom is sorta thrashy too, but i think metallica really came in with kill em all (Mainly the first 4 albums) and really brought thrash to a new level
