The Bible is terribly, terribly written. It's even worse than Lord of the Rings.

skankinBassist 03-19-2005 07:55 AM

And it's no more real than Lord of the Rings.
I would love to be in a ska band.
Its more work than being in a punk band.

skankinBassist 03-19-2005 09:09 AM

Much more. Especially if you have two guitarists that don't know s'hit about how to play with two guitars and the bassist is forced to write every guitar part for them. Hence, i no longer play in an 8 piece ska band.

Now i play in a three piece reggae, ska, metalcore, prog rock band that has 2 songs. So far we've only covered the reggae and ska part.

True, you need musical ability to play in any band with 2 guitars. My band used to have two guitars, with me being the 2nd. I always used to just play whatever the f.uck I wanted to. Needless to say things didn't work out.

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 03-19-2005 10:05 AM

Brilliant weather today

sketchyjoe 03-19-2005 10:06 AM

And yesterday. I was walking home from school listening to Curtis Mayfield and The Ventures. It was just perfect.

skateMASTERbater2 03-19-2005 10:08 AM

its been nice weather here since tuesday. on monday it was incredibly cold and snowing, and then the next day it was sunny and 15 degrees outside.weird.

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 03-19-2005 10:10 AM

It's quality. I just woke up with the sun beaming down on my face, walked down to the pub in shorts and a t-shirt, watched the footy and had a couple of beers in the sun and came home

DOLEMITE 03-19-2005 10:12 AM
sounds interesting, do you have anything recorded?
its actually really interestring, we are still trying to get our stage show tight. our shows are insane. we dress in different themes each night, the last show we did we dressed like zombies, we invite people from the crowd to play our songs, and other stuff

sketchyjoe 03-19-2005 10:16 AM

You wouldn't think it was March.

Talking about the weather, how British.

skateMASTERbater2 03-19-2005 10:16 AM

i woke up at 9 and went skating* this morning, it was awesome

*mostly sit and watch others do cool tricks

sketchyjoe 03-19-2005 10:17 AM

I must admit that relaxing at the skatepark in the sun and having the occasional skate is a great way to spend a day.

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 03-19-2005 10:22 AM

Haha, it's true, a steriotypical british conversation. Skating is great fun to watch, i only wish i could do it myself

sketchyjoe 03-19-2005 10:26 AM

I'm listening to Johnny Cash at full volume. Punk rawk.

DOLEMITE 03-19-2005 10:26 AM

i quit skating 6 years ago

sketchyjoe 03-19-2005 10:31 AM

I only skate every now and then. It gets boring if you do it all time,
Haha, it's true, a steriotypical british conversation.
I must have had and least 10 conversations involving the weather yesterday.

RevengeOfTheVillageIdiot 03-19-2005 10:36 AM

this country is weird as fuck

2 weeks ago, ice and snow, minus 3, everyone is wearing 20 layers of clothes, then one day the weather said "BAM, now it's summer, we aint gonna bother with spring this year"

skankinBassist 03-19-2005 10:39 AM

sketchyjoe 03-19-2005 10:41 AM

"If 90 degree degree days in the middle of winter are the price of global warming then you'll forgive me if I keep my old Pontiac"

skankinBassist 03-19-2005 10:42 AM

Pontiac: Poor Old ****** Thinks It's A Cadillac

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 03-19-2005 10:47 AM

Unfortunately it's supposed to start raining again by monday or tuesday

DrGolovaCroxby 03-19-2005 10:57 AM

RevengeOfTheVillageIdiot 03-19-2005 11:36 AM

Scabies 03-19-2005 11:38 AM

Matt you little ramp rat, ha if you did that down here the local psycho skaters would give you a beatdown

RevengeOfTheVillageIdiot 03-19-2005 11:40 AM

Anti-Prefix 03-19-2005 11:55 AM

RevengeOfTheVillageIdiot 03-19-2005 12:39 PM

anyway, i dont sit around getting in peoples ways at skateparks, if it's a bunch of kids who cant do anything i'll sit around watching, laughing at them when they hurt their nuts

Scabies 03-19-2005 12:42 PM

Aaaah thats cool then, its just the little Blink 182 girls and bloody gromits who lurk round the park who nead a slapping.

RevengeOfTheVillageIdiot 03-19-2005 12:46 PM

if people are actually using the ramps im not going to be a twat and get in their way, but let's face it, you shouldnt be in a skatepark if you cant ollie

Scabies 03-19-2005 12:53 PM

I think I'm going to be stuck with most of the guitar parts anyway. And since its ska punk, very little work. Ska-punk chords are only A, G, and E shape pretty much.

El_Shiznit 03-19-2005 02:23 PM

I just got back from the music store and I was surprised to find a couple DVD's I wanted. I picked up two. One of them is "Another State Of Mind" which features Social Distortion, Youth Brigade, and Minor Threat. I think it means the Youth Brigade from Cali because it mentions BYO on the back cover.

Also picked up the Circle Jerks DVD. I was really surprised they sold that seeing as how they have only had for sale only one copy of one Circle Jerks album in the history of that store.

But I don't think I can watch one now. I gotta go to work soon. :(

IFlogMyMolly16 03-19-2005 03:23 PM

There's a DKM Blackout poster in the background of some Nickelodeon show.

zola_bola 03-19-2005 03:29 PM

Yo, Brain Squirmin' Like A Toad! I most definitely dig that avatar! Hank III rules. No questions.
