yeah listening to them again, the vocals def dont help them much. the production is decent but sounds muffled a lot

immolation's vocals on the newest album are great, so they're forgiven.

i think you're confused. bad production =/= raw production. i'm talking the type of production that i think fits an album. a few immolation albums had production that made the albums unenjoyable to me. it's not too hard to understand i don't think.

Normally I would defend that production quality definitely influences the quality of music, but nothing in the death metal genre (or an Immo's discog) has bad enough production that would change the music that much.

If we're talking about doom or something then I'd agree with Josh.

Immolation is the best death metal bad I've ever had the pleasure of seeing live.
So I'm looking forward to another gig by them.
