/Doesn't want to.

Nice night Jom. It sounds like something I'd like to do. What part did you play?

i am the robots 09-30-2005 09:38 AM

I want to ask in here too, I'm doing an article on the Meshuggah show that I'm attending for Journalism... but the problem is, the show is on the 4th, and we had to start on this yesterday... so I'm coming up with questions to ask my one friend who is going with me... and I wanna ask what he thought of songs off the setlist.... problem is... I don't know what the setlist for the 2033 tour is... does anybody know what songs they commonly play live OTHER THAN Straws Pulled at Random?

"Axe" 09-30-2005 10:13 AM

I typically sign, but if it was blantantly stupid, then I don't sign. It depends on my reaction to a post.

Anyway, I shall be driving home soon. One more class, and I'm gone. The weather is absolutely beautiful again - perfect for driving weather. I just hope that it doesn't take me ninety minutes to go four miles like last time I drove home. Man, that was a bitch and a half.

Yes they are.

I have The Black Mages DVD as well, and the OST for Advent Children. wewt.

Joe : Why would you not want to download Advent Children? It is freakin' awesome to say the least.

Jom : How did that show go last night?

"Axe" 09-30-2005 11:17 AM

Cain 09-30-2005 12:14 PM

Morning/afternoon, all.

I got challenged to a shred-off with another guitarist on campus. We're gonna battle it out on the 7th, at a Battle of the Bands. Should be fun, especially if I win. :D

How are everyone's days going?

Chu 09-30-2005 12:22 PM

Weee, hey all!
I get to jam on Tuesday with Slapping Penguin :D
Should be good fun, I have to learn Demon of The Fall before Tuesday though, dunno if that is possible for me though :p

Shred Danson 09-30-2005 12:27 PM

Demon of The Fall ain't to hard to play, man, no worries.

Chu 09-30-2005 12:34 PM

It's not much of an excuse anymore.. But my left arm was paralyzed and I suffered severe muscle loss in it, which is the whole reason I started guitar.
And it has helped build back the muscles, and in the process I have fallen into the world of guitaring :p
I love it :D Even though I'm pretty bad :p

Shred Danson 09-30-2005 12:39 PM

Ouch, man, how'd your arm get paralyzed?

Chu 09-30-2005 12:47 PM

Well, 23/12/99, I was going to Melbourne to celebrate New Years and Christmas, and on the way down there I was in a car accident, basically the dashboard smashed into me, knocked me out on the spot, coma for a few months, I suffered a left haemoplegia(sp?), or something similar, I'm not sure the medical terms, anyway I had full left side paralysis, dislocated left hip and left shoulder (But they didn't find either for a few weeks because my brain injury was the priority at the time, so yeah hip and shoulder replacements soon :upset: )..
Yeah I was in hospital for about 10 months of the year 2000..

It wasn't very good and since I couldn't run anymore I just stayed home and played guitar :p
I'm not very good at it though....

Stoic 09-30-2005 12:52 PM

Chu, this is horrible! You're a strong man, Im not sure how I would I react if I found myself in such a situation. How hard was it? :(

Chu 09-30-2005 01:00 PM

Umm.. I've never really thought about it that much, just something life throws at you I guess...
Before the accident I was a national AFL rep, so I was pretty **** sporty, but afterwards, since I couldn't play sports anymore, I just found new hobbies like computers and music... I'd have to say I'm actually very glad it happened (Does that sound evil?), because had it not, I wouldn't be living the same life, and I absolutely love my life, I have my music, my guitar and my computers and that's all I really care about :p

I'd have to say it was pretty hard when I first got back home, and the first few weeks when I restarted school (I didn't actually miss a grade though, I was able to continue doing year 8, even though I had missed pretty much the whole year), because I was given a tutor who would be in every class with me, and I just felt uncomfortable, I didn't really wanna be seen as different to everyone else, you know?

Speaking of religion, I was at this Christian association's grand opening of a women's center today. It was insanely dull, and, as is usual with me, I'd once again forgotten I was attending a severely Christian function, and wore my pentacle. Therefore, I was subject to quite a few "looks" and one lady actually said "nice....necklace..." with this odd expression on her face.
