On the weekend I met this guy that claimed Petrucci was the greatest guitar player ever. He also tried to tell me Satriani (I can't spell his name) sucks.

Ew, I can't stand LaBrie's voice. LTE is good though, I enjoy them. Satriani does kill Petrucci at guitar though, very easily.

I agree very much. LaBrie voice bothers me. I watched a live dvd of Dream Theatre and LaBrie wasn't in much of it though so it was good. Liquid Tension Experiment was indeed better.

That's about the only thing me and this guy agree'd on. He kept going on about how Vai owns Satriani and Satriani sucks but Petrucci is better than both of them. The whole time I was like :amaze:

Yeah, I got their live show and a lot was instrumental so it wasn't as bad, but I'm not a fan. My mom, however, loves them, and I introduced them to her, so that's s little funny.

Satch>Vai>Petrucci imo. Petrucci isn't at virtuoso level like those other guys.

My mom mostly likes Christian rock, so getting her into stuff like DT and Dragonforce is so awesome :D
