I usually keep my bass strings for about a year before replacing them. I've had the ones on now since last christmas. As long as they aren't dirty I keep them, I don't care about the dulled sound, that can all be changed with EQ.

I think the green looks the best, I tried the other ones and they kinda sucked.

I use the gray one for Brain's forum site, and I like it quite much.
