My parents are away this weekend, and the most people over has been 6, me, my bro, and my sister are responsible, but there has been some smoking and drinking :). I'm pissed though, cause I went to bed at 8PM and I was awoken at 3:48 by my sister and her one drunk friend... they're piss drunk off of wine... they drank like 4 of my mom's wine bottles.... maybe they aren't so responsible...

Absolutely, 100% agreed. I can't say that this style of modding will get picked up by the other mods, though, since I don't think that would be very healthy.

Chris is asking the admins if he can get another mod but it is true that it is unlikely it will happen. Pretty much all the forums need another mod right now. I know us, pop punk, other music and bass are all trying to get new mods.

Other Music doesn't really need a mod. Besides the YSI thread and a couple other threads, it doesn't seem like they need a mod as bad as pop-punk and R&M do. Any problems can be directed to Site, where there's a chance more mods will see it and take care of it.

I was looking through who people were mentioning, and I have to say, uh, nice job mentioning regulars of this thread. Just because you are buddy-buddy with people doesn't mean that they should be modded. It would give you the right to skate around a few things, thinking that they would allow it since you're "friends" on an internet forum. That's not going to help [i]anything[/i]. Everyone should be seen at the same level, especially with Ken's announcement.

And whoever said Steerpike is "too weird" to be a mod: three letters: NPC. I'm not endorsing a Steerpike nomination at all, but I'm saying that if being "too weird" is grounds for not being modded, then a lot of the mods would be getting the boot, not just NPC.

But that goes without saying that I like NPC. He's a very intelligent fellow. He's just a bit too quirky sometimes.

But since he's gone on holiday, people have been thinking it's okay to spam this thread again, knowing that they won't face any consequences from Bartender... and since SFK and 3074326 don't really come in here all that often, and since Jelle's computer is out of commission, that leaves this thread pretty much fair game, unfortunately, hence it looking like it's moving a billion posts an hour like it used to.[/color]

Why all the colors?

Much as I'd like to become a mod and be able to use some of the privileges to clean up illegal threads and try to set a tone of less overt hostility, I doubt they'd ever give me the nomination. True, I'm around frequently and am very familiar with the rules. I make my contributions as often as possible.

But I still have one hell of a temper. And I still think that I have a long way to go before the mods think I'm easy-going enough not to abuse the power that would come with the position in a moment of anger.

We'll just wait and see what happens.

Hey, I'm doing pretty good, about to leave to go to the beach for a week before school starts, which is cool, because otherwise, I'd just have to sit around with nothing to do with the prospect of school in my mind.
