I have a 30GB video iPod. :(

I don't think he's anti-mp3 players, just anti-iPod, and it's understandable.

I have a 40gb Zen.

I just got a 2gb MP4 player. mostly for the gym
I'm still gonna get some manner of video/mp3 player with a decent hard drive for work/the train

at the $90 it cost me I like it better than an ipod nano.

I want some sort of 40+ gb Video something or other.

Haha oh man, I've completely corrupted my sisters taste in music. She used my computer to make a CD, and the songs she chose just makes me laugh considering what she used to listen to.

She used to be one of those "i like everything" people, not really taking an interest in music.

I started inviting her to shows and she even registered on MX at one point haha

I've influenced all of my friends' tastes.

I've got my friends into the odd band here and there, but most of the stuff I listen to is pretty common anyway I think.

I've got my best friend into Matisyahu, MF DOOM/Dangerdoom, Mastodon, Strapping Young Lad and Corrosion of Conformity. Probably a few others, but his tastes are pretty similar to mine anyway.

Everyone used to listen to other really bad stuff, but then I started with my criticism and name-dropping, and they picked up almost every band I used to like. It's kind of weird and makes me feel uncomfortable, knowing that people kind of look up to you or something. It's like I'm the leader of some really lame scene.

I've gotten my friends into Richard Hell, The Flaming Lips, X, The Dead Milkmen, Sigur Ros, ELO, and The Jesus And Mary Chain, to name a few.

I used to try and do this. It worked in some cases, but ultimately I realized that they just ended up listening to it without any of the passion. So it was just a bunch of zombie "music lovers". I want them to genuinely enjoy the music, instead of feeling a pressure from me pushing it onto them. So now I tend to talk about it less...

Me too. It kind of sucks because I don't know what else to talk about.

Ouch. Yeah, yeah, I know that feeling. When I'm with my 'music' friends we can talk about essentially continuously without any pauses. But if that social safety net isn't there, I can be quite fu[size=2]cked[/size].

I swear less on mx than in real life because of all the work it entails to keep it uncensored. I suppose that's the point.

Not upto much, just going out and getting drunk :)

6 weeks left of school, no exams coming up, it's all good :)

Yesterday was my graduation open house. Pretty fun.

When it was time to party Zappa partied hard :-o

I need to listen to more Pavement.

Do something about it.

I went to an independent record store the other day looking to buy something by Pavement and they didn't have anything. Independent record store not having Pavement? Guess I'll have to use Amazon.

Pavement isn't indie anymore, they haven't been for awhile. I'm pretty sure Matador is owned by Atlantic.
