You guys are taking it wrong omg

I dont mean Danny Elfman lol

Its just got that same kind of style. Kind of creepy, but still kind of cartoony, and sometimes beautiful in a way.
1 Comus 15
2 Love 12
3 Yann Tiersen 9
4 Markus Hinterhauser, piano 8
5 Islaja 4
6 Yngwie Malmsteen 3
7 Comus - First Utterance 2
8 Regina Spektor 1
8 Can 1
8 Air 1

Comus rules so hard, its insane. Progressive folk from 1971.

Hauschka - Room to Expand

this is like Erik Satie meets Steve Reich

The NPC 05-22-2007 10:38 PM

I'd rather listen to Steve Reich.

Red Krayola

perriwinkle 05-22-2007 10:46 PM

i dunno man have you heard him? sometimes i'm in the mood for this as opposed to Steve Reich. Hauschka is less repetitive and just sounds different.

ATM 05-22-2007 11:36 PM

Some STGM reminds me of Danny Elfman.

Mars Attacks OST rules, too.

Manic Street Preachers - Send Away the Tigers

Different, good.

Little Man being Erased 05-23-2007 01:57 AM

SixFtHick - Chicken

These guys are sexed up punk from Aus. The album doesn't quite live up to the energy of their live show but it's great anyway.

Battles - Mirrored

Bukowski 05-23-2007 11:34 AM

^^ nice avatar, dude

Kinski - Alpine Static
Shellac - Terraform

AlienEater 05-23-2007 11:40 AM

how is that kinski album? i had an inclination to check them out but i never did

Bukowski 05-23-2007 11:53 AM

It's cool. Lots of cool guitar effects. It can go from some fairly normal, steady riff-based music into the most druggy, spaced out guitar sections. This is my first time listening to the band, so I'm still kind of undecided about how great it is - but yes, it's great. Kinski als did a collaberation with the Acid Mothers Temple, which I'm getting just now.

I still haven't heard anything by Acid Mothers Temple, so this will hopefully inspire me to check them out as well.
