It is no mistake, Cream are just plain theives. After the Grateful Dead covered "Sittin' on Top of the World", Cream did. They stole JJ Cale's riff for "Cocaine", and then covered his song. They even stole from themselves. Anyone else see te resemblances between "Tales of the Brave Ulyssess" and "White Room"?

Case closed.
At least Cream did a complete blues take of "Sittin' On Top of World", instead of playing it exactly like the Dead or the traditonal version. . And for some reason I don't think the Dead were a huge influence on Cream, not sure though.

Edit: Yes I read that you were at least half-joking, I'm not getting upset over this or anything.
Back when that poll about bands was up you said you loved the Guess Who.
Ok, just because I mentioned them doesn't mean I was obsessed with them.

Seafroggys 03-08-2005 07:00 PM

Jeez, that was a negatory post on Cream. I absolutly love them.

Badmoon, you are just full of pessimissim. Maybe if Lennon was your idol, like mine, you'd take life in a whole uplifting perspective

Woodstock 03-08-2005 07:03 PM

Badmoon rips on any band that he once loved all the time now. Pink Floyd, Cream.... :(

Not everyone can be Dead related...

lunch998 03-08-2005 07:04 PM

All our bands just aren't cool enough. We have to face it.

jpj 03-08-2005 07:05 PM

Badmoon just has a sandy vagina.

Preparing to make my comeback, and working on a blues cd.

I was turned off by the whole bluegrass/jam band discussions, and took a break. But now I'm back in the CR thread.

/Slits wrists...

So, what albums have you guys been into lately? I just got out of WYWH, now I don't have an album obsession.
Agrees with you 100%.
There wasn't much bluegrass discussion, since only one person here can discuss that. I don't know what you guys have against jam bands.

magicbus 03-08-2005 07:08 PM

Lately I've been diggin Jeff Beck, Frank Zappa, always Floyd, anything Eric Clapton, and more blues orientated things.

I don't have anything against jam bands. I just can't discuss them because I know nothing about them.

Tubular Bells dude. It's the new fad, so you better conform. I already got Bartender, Efilnikufesin, and thickasabrick.

jpj 03-08-2005 07:08 PM

I was always listening to Eat a Peach then I had a sudden uncontrollable urge to listen to WYWH. Now, I don't have an obsession.

I listened to Tubular Bells Pt. 1, I liked it.

I don't, it's when we talk about newer bands that do not belong in a classic rock thread.
