So it looks like I'm seeing Gnarls Barkley w/ Peeping Tom in July.

I'm also stoked about the fact it's the first time mi madre is letting me drive out to Hollywood on my own (well, with a friend).
Yeah, 8 O'Clock to the minute. I was gearing up for a 1-2 hour wait. Axl was even surprised when he came out and it was still light (and beautifully sunny)! I was going to leave and watch Therapy? for a bit (they started 15 minutes earlier), but now I'm relieved I didn't. I was almost right at the front, too, like 8 or so people away from Axl and Robin.
Sounds sweet, I've already prepared myself for the fact I'm gonna have to spend the night in London, after the Wembely show.
So it looks like I'm seeing Gnarls Barkley w/ Peeping Tom in July.
Wow, that sounds like one amazing show. Seems like an unlikely pairing to me.

I dunno, I can see Patton and Dangermouse being homies.
I dunno, I can see Patton and Dangermouse being homies.
They should so work together, that would be frikin' sweet.

JonM 06-10-2006 03:18 PM

I can't believe you dare admitting that on the internets. Traitor. :p

That should be great fun. I've yet to see any live reggae shows. The few ones that have been near enough for me to go to were too expensive.

Kyle 06-10-2006 05:29 PM

Reggae is so fun live, everyone is in such a positive mood. Much better atmosphere than most indie shows, most people are way too uptight there I find. Especially when somebody tries to push to the front, what a fuss that causes.

prurient 06-10-2006 05:32 PM

It's too bad reggae sucks balls.

What kind of "indie" shows do you go to?

prurient 06-10-2006 05:42 PM

Like there's a difference between reggae bands. Besides, one doesn't need to attend a reggae show to know it's bad.

What bands have you gone to see?

edit: FUCK I passed 5000 posts and didn't notice :upset:

prurient 06-10-2006 05:45 PM

Razorlight sucks.

Better than Razorlight.

Kyle 06-10-2006 05:55 PM
Better than Razorlight.
Uh oh, looks like Prurient doesn't get sarcasm.

prurient 06-10-2006 06:33 PM

Nope.

el doctor 06-10-2006 11:29 PM

I saw Cat Power tonight and Chan Marshall performed without any of her infamous stage problems. The backing band really sounds great, but the best moments are when it's just her and a piano or guitar. That voice... :)

JonM 06-10-2006 11:54 PM

Steel Pulse was amazing.

Zmev 06-11-2006 12:46 AM
