for the lazy and uninitiated

Carl Sagan 12-12-2009 05:00 PM

the black part is a tree right

kind of looks like bad mspaint

AA-12 12-12-2009 05:01 PM

turn your brightness up

Carl Sagan 12-12-2009 05:02 PM

uhhh

masscows 12-12-2009 05:05 PM

That logo/art doesn't really fit the tone anything Burzum has done yet so maybe this actually will be something totally different from him.

I'm stoked.

BLASPHEMYOGAPHER 12-12-2009 05:50 PM

lol wtf i had my brightness all the way down and it just looked like a big black blob. Even with the brightness up it still looks lame, but whatever.

FatalEnergy 12-12-2009 05:55 PM

I'm listening to Windir for the first time in like two years and I'm really not impressed.

BLASPHEMYOGAPHER 12-12-2009 06:01 PM

if you're not listening to arntor then thats to be expected

Carl Sagan 12-12-2009 06:04 PM

AA-12 12-12-2009 06:06 PM

1184 is the best windir

i like likferd too even though its pretty different

ArcLite 12-12-2009 07:31 PM

Blasting Journey To The End while driving is a good time.

rasputin 12-12-2009 07:45 PM

the logo looks like the opeth logo

Jaundice 12-12-2009 07:50 PM

my computer downright refuses to load the pic

Meatplow 12-12-2009 07:57 PM
"My ambition with "Belus" is to create something I - and hopefully others too - can listen to for years and years to come without ever growing tired of it, and at the same time to share with my audience the experience of getting to know Belus, as he might have been perceived by the ancient Europeans". The combination of lyrics and music makes this a fairy tale different from most others, and should appeal to all those who like transcendental music and love to see different things from a different perspective. "If I can make you dream when listening to this album, I believe I have done a good job".
i hope this does not fall flat in the face of hype and is at least decent

Angmar 12-12-2009 10:24 PM

I have high hopes, Varg hasn't done a bad metal album, so I don't see why I should be so skeptical.

The album cover isn't his best but it's cool enough, logo is fine.
I'm listening to Windir for the first time in like two years and I'm really not impressed.
Sucks, dude.
if you're not listening to arntor then thats to be expected
1184 is excellent and has one of the best Windir songs: Journey to the End.

chrisbarnesfacialbongscar 12-13-2009 01:44 AM
logo is fine.
ya, its a cool font

FatalEnergy 12-13-2009 02:32 AM

It's the first album cover that isn't a drawing. Which is kind of cool. Better than the cover for some of the old albums like Daudi Baldurs and Det Som Engang Var.

chrisbarnesfacialbongscar 12-13-2009 12:22 PM

another retarded post by fatalenergy

srsly this album art looks like 15 minutes in photoshop js

and that "tree" on the left makes it so ugly

RouteOne 12-13-2009 12:58 PM

Cover is fine, it doesn't need to be some intricate painting to serve it's purpose.

Carl Sagan 12-13-2009 12:59 PM

looks better in b/w

RouteOne 12-13-2009 01:04 PM

I'm actually not going to listen to this album expecting black metal, really. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I just think he's going to stray away from it a bit to try new things, which is fine. People will probably cry about it, but w/e.

chrisbarnesfacialbongscar 12-13-2009 01:06 PM
looks better in b/w
It definitely would, the black blob tree contrasts way too unrealistically with the surrounding forest, it would obviously still just be a brown trunk because the lighting is too bright and warm for it to be otherwise.

Carl Sagan 12-13-2009 01:10 PM

yeah from what he wrote it doesnt sound like its going to be straight bm or anything

i dunno

RouteOne 12-13-2009 01:11 PM

The tree is obviously dark because we're behind it and the light is in front of it. Contrasts.

Carl Sagan 12-13-2009 01:12 PM

the tree is actually dark because it is infested with negroid termites

chrisbarnesfacialbongscar 12-13-2009 01:12 PM

Wouldn't look like that regardless, I've been in the woods before~

RouteOne 12-13-2009 01:15 PM

Are you sure because I see that happen all the time

lrn2camp

Carl Sagan 12-13-2009 01:15 PM
