I don't understand why everyone's against the sound of the drums. I love it.
They sound like trash cans, and block out the other instruments, which also have a horrible sound (very muddy and dry sounding). I really can't stand the hollow, and annoying "PWAAANNNNG! PWAAAANNNNG!" of the drums. So that's what I have againest it anyway.

Britton 08-28-2005 12:36 PM

if they woulda just taken all the good ones from reload and put them on load that
would be the nearly as great if not better than the BA but that's just my opinion

I think they put alotta filers in there so they could have another album

Jev 08-28-2005 12:39 PM

Yeah, they could've cut the filler out of Load and Reload and put them together to make an awesome record.
I really like Garage Inc. but I don't think many other people do.
I love garage inc, i think it is one of their best records, and it is where, IMO, James' voice is at it's peak. Disc 1 is especially awesome.

Jev 08-28-2005 01:52 PM

Loverman=Teh awesomeness.

DaveTheAmazing 08-28-2005 01:53 PM
I really like Garage Inc. but I don't think many other people do.
I don't really. I only really like Turn the Page, Loverman, Whisky in the Jar, Astronomy, Breadfan and, Die, Die my Darling. :)

I think the "Pwang" sound is an exciting change from the boring usual drummy sounds everyone uses. :-)

It's the most under-rated song ever. The lyrics are quality "...R is for Rape Me....M is for Murder Me....". James' voice just fits that haunting quality it has.

Huber 08-28-2005 01:56 PM
Most of the people in here like it, but dont love it because of the no solos and drum sound. I like it a lot. I think it is their best release since Black Album.
Agreed
I really like Garage Inc. but I don't think many other people do.
I don't have it, but what I've heard I liked (I really like the Stone Cold Crazy cover)
I think the "Pwang" sound is an exciting change from the boring usual drummy sounds everyone uses. :-)
If maybe he utilized a rimshot at some parts instead of a constant pwang sound it'd be nice. But it gets annoying after awhile.

Man, all this recent talk about Load and Reload has really got me goin'. I'm going to buy the rest of Metallica's albums that I don't have with my next paycheck and I'm definetly anticipating those the most.

DaveTheAmazing 08-28-2005 02:01 PM

Reload=lose Load=win

I love the way the music drops and James shouts "LOVERMAN!"

Father_Jack 08-28-2005 02:09 PM
I love the way the music drops and James shouts "LOVERMAN!"
I know, and it's so simple, its like there is about 2 riffs, one distorted and one clean but its still so ace. One of my favourite Garage Inc songs, takes a while to get into tho. And it does drag on when you first listen to it.

Cool. I really need that cd. My friend said he would buy me reload next, but I think I'd rather garage inc. next

Yeah same here i was like "that was pretty cool, what's next" Then it scared the poop out of me.

DaveTheAmazing 08-28-2005 02:35 PM

What are your thoughts on The Outlaw Torn, Flower Dance? I only really gave it a good listen today, and it seemed weirdly familiar some how. anyway, I think its brilliant.

Joe 08-28-2005 02:51 PM
I could trade it for something if you have AIM?
I like it. Weirdly familiar? maybe you've heard it before? just a thought... I think it's a pretty good song.

vashts80 08-28-2005 02:55 PM

Outlaw Torn S&M > Outlaw Torn Load. Fact. :D

Joe 08-28-2005 02:59 PM
Outlaw Torn S&M > Outlaw Torn Load. Fact. :D
oh yea, definitely.

clairvoyant 08-28-2005 03:05 PM

Metallica's version of Die Die My Darling is very very good, about equal to The Misfits version.

Joe 08-28-2005 03:08 PM
Metallica's version of Die Die My Darling is very very good, about equal to The Misfits version.
It is very good. I like Breadfan a lot too. I think Turn The Page and Whiskey in the Jar are my favorites

Huber 08-28-2005 03:10 PM

There Die, Die My Darling was really good and I think much better than The Misfits' because The Misfits' version wasn't very good at all.

Joe 08-28-2005 07:35 PM

Na, I didn't really like it either.

So this thread is pretty dead. Anyone out there?

Decent Australian artist :thumb:

Mmm, I'm studying alot, so can't be doing to much guitar for a little while :amaze:

So... Yeah

FlyingPaul_83 08-28-2005 10:14 PM

I just got load, and I have to sya, it's not THAT bad. It's definitely not "the black album 2" but its enjoyable.

Five Magics 08-28-2005 11:32 PM

Load is a good album, there's actually some groove to it. Reload is ok.

IMO,

The Outlaw Torn > ANY Metallica Song after Black

PepsiMetal 08-28-2005 11:41 PM

Yea, load is a good album. I like aint my bitch, king nothing, etc. but I definetely like reload alot more. Reload has more better songs like bad seed, low man's lyric, slither, fuel, etc..
