Craig David - Born To Do It

Underrated and buttraped by that stupid Bo Selecta tv series.
whhhaaaa wait is this the first time you've heard them?
Yea, they've been on my bands to check out for a while now. I had only heard of them because the singer now plays in Hot Snakes.

**** you for not telling me to listen to them sooner

Eliminator 03-15-2008 08:00 PM

i remember liking the longer songs on that album

the rest was okay

ha i thought you already did... like theyre one of those bands that pretty much everyone here listens to and likes
i remember liking the longer songs on that album

yeah my favorite songs are Do You Compute? and Luau, and those are 2 of the longest on the album. but i definitely think that all of it is better than okay

Boilermaker 03-15-2008 08:04 PM

I'm really liking Bullet Train to Vegas right now.

This band is as tight as ****.

perriwinkle 03-15-2008 08:08 PM

Luau is my favorite. im listening to the album now too.. .couldnt help it.
i've been gathering hi-res album arts for screen prints that i've been meaning to make for a longggg time and Yank Crime is one of em. of course no shirts have been made and my architect friend has all the inks necessary and access to prints and all i have to do is order the blank tees but i just haven't done that, it's been like 2 years

YDload 03-15-2008 08:27 PM

Golden Brown is their best song, Luau is their best long song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9y15RXqF_kw

Minutemen concert. Six songs - Toadies, Big Foist, Retreat, Anxious Mo-Fo, Theater is the Life of You, and The Glory of Man

perriwinkle 03-15-2008 08:29 PM

i really don't see Golden Brown as their best song. that said, i couldn't actually tell you what i think their best song is. but i don't think it's Golden Brown

edit: maybe New Math

edit edit yeah Golden Brown does really really rule but i just cant really pick one i guess i dunno. i really especially like the part at 2:42 with the drums and the "HEY!"

A Dead Modernist 03-15-2008 08:32 PM

I've only heard Golden Brown and thats because of Snatch. That song is really good though.

I thought it was the Stranglers but idk.

Drive Like Jehu are awesome though. Yank Crime is sick.

I just looked up The For Carnation, and they seem really cool. Anything that has something to do with Slint has to be good. I think I'm gonna download their self titled.
