Full step sounds good

Lead-
Rhythm-
Drums-
Bass-
Vocal-

whose doing what? I don't know what I'm doing.

Endless Obsession 08-27-2005 07:29 PM

I could do rhythm for any song so whatever song you decide Ill do the rhythm but other people should do it to. That way we have more to choose from.

Petary791 08-27-2005 07:37 PM

Wait, do you guys want to make an online AJFA? I'll play bass if you need me.

Joe 08-27-2005 07:40 PM
I could do rhythm for any song so whatever song you decide Ill do the rhythm but other people should do it to. That way we have more to choose from.
I don't know, there were some people who originally wanted to do it and I don't know who it was.

If we can get others to learn and record a ten minute song, maybe. I'd rather do blackened or one from that album. i'd actually like to do a black album song and maybe one from mop.

Whomever wants to do it can and then we vote on the best one.

Britton 08-27-2005 07:50 PM

Well byze you go ahead and record a version I think gocaps is are lead player
(if you wll that is) I think chu wants to do rythym too so We'll let him make
a copy and we shall see which one works better. and remember we can always make
more then one song...so keep that In mind I've been working on it all so I might sing
I would kinda like to have all the audio backing me up though so what ever we
put together I'll listen to it and decide.
you all wantme to mix right>?

I would love another new Tallica album no matter what it sounded like.
I hope rob contributes alot james gets back to that nice BA sound of singing
and kirk and lars play really fast

and Gocaps as much as I like you I have to disagree with you on that part of Kirk
not playing fast anymore, nov 20th last year I watched the man himself play really
good and fast at times (really fast at times)

Well I'll record the lead, if people are ok with that. I can record the double guitar riff stuff too, so i don't have to teach people (unless they want to know. i would have to teach the rhythm parts)

Well, he relies on the wah a lot lately. I did see them last year and he used the wah a lot. He's still incredilby fast, just not as fast.

Britton 08-27-2005 08:03 PM

okay yea I see what you are saying he does relie on the wha, but it is a great effect
where did you see them?

yea you are the lead man!

Suck it! It's true though. You gotta hear the remixed versions.

Joe 08-27-2005 08:50 PM
Suck it! It's true though. You gotta hear the remixed versions.
Yea, you can only hear the bass on the intro of Blackened

Britton 08-28-2005 12:16 AM

I can hear it quite well on allotta the stuff

lightningmetal666 08-28-2005 01:18 AM

Maybe Jason had some stage fright when they were recording it. Haha, get it, stage fright while recording? :naughty:..........:upset:

RustedPieces 08-28-2005 01:28 AM

It's only because James and Lars produced it so they made the drums and the guitar really loud.

Nah I don't get it
Back to the Metallica discussion, I have to say I am very excited about where their next album will go. After St. Anger (which I do not like at all), I think they realized that it was a bad idea to produce an album that was as experimental (for them) as St. Anger. I really think they will produce a stellar final album, which will either be an 80's thrash revival album (though that is doubtful) or they will produce a more musical album like The Black Album (probably the most logical choice. The only other options they have are to do another hard rock album like Load and Reload, continue to go into the St. Anger style even farther, or produce something completely new to them and see how that does. I believe the worst option would be to produce an album in a completely different stlye, because even St. Anger showed that if they worked on what they did in that album, they could make a better album using the same style next time around. If they jsut use a new style like St. Anger it may not be as fully developed a stlye as it could be.
lol this has been discussed to death here, talking about an online cover is the best thing we've had in here for a long time.

Yeah, I'll see if I can get rhythm down (I would love it  ), but everyone else who believes they can play it, or wants to play it, do it too, the more people who do it, the wider we can choose from, we want this to be the best possible version we can get!!!

I wouldn't mind doing a song from Black album, but since I never really listen to it, I don't know what would be the best choice, maybe something like My Friend of Misery?

Other then that, I *might* be able to do the rhythm to Leper Messiah (Prolly my favourite song off Master at the moment, well except for Orion which is one of the best Metallica songs in my opinion).

Jev 08-28-2005 07:01 AM

MFOM might be hard with the effects.

hotguitarchick 08-28-2005 07:15 AM

Go to http://www.abc.net.au/triplej and click on listen and then what's on now. A recording of Metallica's Big Day Out Performance in 2004. It's on from 11pm-12am.

Jev 08-28-2005 08:59 AM

Can I listen to it now or do I have to wait?

DaveTheAmazing 08-28-2005 10:15 AM

Omg, Metalli-gang! I was in the pit and then someone said St. Anger was bad so then I defended it but then there were loads of St. Anger haters against me and they GRRPOW!! I got one
of em but then they used health crystals on him and they were invincicilbe and they said
St Anger was bad :'( THEY DIDN'T EVEN CARE :upset: I like it but they were all convinced it
was another way Metallica sold out but they didnt sell out they didnt!! THEY DIDNT! so
then i got my shotgun and i hunted everyone of them muffafukkaz down and i fukking blew their heads off. rGRGRGRGRG BANG

:estranged kitty noises:

Jev 08-28-2005 10:18 AM

The Metalli-gang are all offline. Except me.

DaveTheAmazing 08-28-2005 10:19 AM

What do you think of St. Anger, Flower Dance?

Jev 08-28-2005 10:25 AM

It's pretty cool, favourite songs are Dirty Window and All Within My Hands. Hate the sound of the snare though.

Endless Obsession 08-28-2005 10:40 AM
What do you think of St. Anger, Flower Dance?
Most of the people in here like it, but dont love it because of the no solos and drum sound. I like it a lot. I think it is their best release since Black Album.

DaveTheAmazing 08-28-2005 10:49 AM

All Within my Hands is one of my favourites too, Flower Dance!! I don't understand why everyone's against the sound of the drums. I love it. My other favourites include:
The Unnamed Feeling (I love the bit starting at 4:54)
Sweet Amber
Invisible Kid
Dirty Window

Byzantine, to be honest, I think Load is the best release since the Black Album. It's pretty close though.

Jev 08-28-2005 10:57 AM

I really like Garage Inc. but I don't think many other people do.

clairvoyant 08-28-2005 11:29 AM

I personally despise St. Anger. It bores me.

I think if Load and Reload were combined into one cd with the best songs, it'd be a pretty sweet cd.

Jev 08-28-2005 11:33 AM

It was origionally going to be a double album.

clairvoyant 08-28-2005 11:35 AM
It was origionally going to be a double album.
Ah, I never knew that.
