The Great Decay 06-06-2006 02:42 PM

I have exams twice, once per semester. But each exam period (which is over the course of a week) consists of four separate exams.

Interstate 06-06-2006 02:52 PM

I got sent to another branch at work today because they were short of cashiers. (I work in a bank for those who don't know) which was cool. Very different to our branch because ours is really old and nasty whereas the branch I went to was like ultramodern and had recently undergone a massive refurbishment.
What are you thinking of doing over there?
I just want to travel and see as many different places as possible, but while working at the same time. I figure I can either be based somewhere and work in a well paying job and travel when I can or travel around and find work when I can.

FA 06-06-2006 03:44 PM

No offense or anything, but the uncapitalized "being" in your name annoys me slightly :p

Matt? 06-06-2006 03:45 PM

dammit i would've never noticed that.
I wanna come to Europe and do a semester so maybe I'll do it in Belgium :-D
Hah, they're are always a lot of Americans hanging around my Uni, so it can't be too bad here.

Little Man being Erased 06-06-2006 03:56 PM

But that's how it's supposed to be written.

prurient 06-06-2006 04:46 PM

You should have gone with a better username, in my opinion.

Little Man being Erased 06-06-2006 04:53 PM

You should have gone with a better face, in my opinion, shut the hell up!

I have this sneaking suspicion this is Dei.

/probably really really late with that one

I'm probably going to end up in England doing a semester.

Correct on both counts.
Same here. Seven of my really close friends graduated and are leaving for college in the fall, and I'll only have one person who I'm really close to that will still be here.
It's pretty scary really. The more I think about it though, the more I ultimately believe it will be a positive thing.

Sounds sweet. My parents both did that a few years after they graduated uni; they went to the UK. They both lived in York as well. From my limited experience of Europe, it's fantastic.

Angry Balled Fists! 06-07-2006 03:30 AM

Can some alt/indie dudes, hook me up with some good alternative/indie music, like mainly acoustic or different stuff which i might like ?

I hate my manager at work. Stupid old git.

Wanker 06-07-2006 09:59 PM

Yay! My ladyfriend gave me Broken Social Scene's S/T for my birthday.

Good times.

biografiend 06-07-2006 10:41 PM

That CD is a goodun.

I watched the Graduate yesterday.
Sooooooooooo good.
I definitely have a better appreciation for Simon&Garfunkel.

YDload 06-07-2006 10:46 PM

After watching The Graduate, I got the feeling that Simon and Garfunkel's music is the precursor to post-rock. Maybe it's because they play the quiet instrumental parts while Dustin Hoffman's character is driving through California, and the music fits the mood so perfectly that it almost HAS to be what EITS based their work on.

What a lame gift. I would've thrown it in her face and shouted, "IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU FORGOT IT IN PEOPLE, YOU LAME, GAY SHITHEAD!"

Jesus Christ, I am so fucking awesome.

Damn, it's weird reading this because I knew a guy who was exactly like you. It turns out all of his over the top self-appraisal was because he had low self-esteem and eventually killed himself. Most people just thought he was an asshole.

He and I are alike, except people don't think I'm an asshole. I'm good about holding my tongue and knowing when it's appropriate to say/do certain things. But I'm very timid, so hardly anyone ever hears me rant and talk crap about their taste in music.

My self-appraisal isn't something you should take seriously. It's all an act, and I'm able to get a good laugh out of it. If you knew me in real life, you'd laugh, too, because I'm nothing like this.

I wouldn't kill myself. I don't have the balls to do it.

YDload 06-07-2006 11:26 PM

You're not allowed to admit that your assholish behavior is all tongue-in-cheek. You created a gimmick and now you have to live with it. NPC couldn't handle the pressure of the persona so he had to leave, but fortunately tangy zizzle is still going strong.

Zappa 06-07-2006 11:33 PM

I never saw what eveyrone hated about NPC. He's always seemed a decent, level headed guy to me.

Tangy, on the other hand...

Little Man being Erased 06-07-2006 11:35 PM

All three are/were cool people.

prurient 06-07-2006 11:35 PM

Tangy is bad? Someone said I was Tangy-dark or NPC-lite.

YDload 06-07-2006 11:36 PM

I shouldn't badmouth NPC because he's the whole reason I have this mod gig, but it's pretty annoying to always make such short posts and never explain anything at all.

Oh wait you do that too Zappa! >:-}
