My dad doesn't listen to Steely Dan.

Jam2Me: Now that you're finally on at the same time as me, could you send me the Traveling Wilburys stuff you have?

My dad doesn't listen to Steely Dan. I have a Steely Dan album, although I've only listened to it once. I like it.

Last night me and my friends watched Roger Waters In the Flesh...it was amazing. It felt like we were in the concert, and everything was so real. It would have been cool to see Gilmour playing the guitar though, the guy that was playing didn't seem too into the music, he looked all nervous.

Then we watched a Band of Gypsies DVD live at the Filmore East. I always forget what a great guitarist he is until I see him play live. Everything just seems so fluid when he plays, as if he doesn't even realize he's playing the guitar. He just stands there with his eyes closed and he just plays the most amazing songs.

We were fairly messed up at the time though, so maybe everything was just better than I thought it was.

Badmoon 03-06-2005 05:44 PM

Me. I thought it was fairly mediocre.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 03-06-2005 05:59 PM

I've seen it. I liked it a lot except for some of the animated parts.

Woodstock 03-06-2005 06:03 PM

I haven't seen it yet.

Yea it is, other than that I haven't heard much else.

I suck at mandolin, but I did learn part of Battle of Evermore.

JonG 03-06-2005 08:15 PM

Steely Dan's 100% studio band, only reason I don't like them. Their like Robert Plants voice when he gets live..

LAUGH

I don't think Robert Plant is THAT bad live...

but you know who's horrible live... Ian Gillan. I saw some old Deep Purple live performance of Highway Star, and both Ian and Richie sucked so incredibly hard. Jon Lord still kicked arse, though.

Ian Paice still owns live too.

Festival Express

If this newly released DVD shows us anything, it is that Canadians teens are ungrateful bastards. At least it gives you that idea.

I don't care enough about them to make a big deal of it. I like some of their stuff and that's it really.
