Yeah, I remember that time well, Zappa. It's quite the strange transitional period between the finalization of high school and the beginning of college. For me, I felt a real gravity about the whole situation. I realized that I'd never see many of those people ever again, and that was somewhat scary - even though it's ultimately what I wanted. Then with my upcoming collegiate freshman year, my anxiety became huge and it was pretty difficult balancing out planning/time with friends/family.
In short, I'm glad it's over. |
I just wish I had any idea what the hell to do with myself.
|
Graduation = 4 days
My friend got kicked out of his house so hes living with me. |
I got four school days left, plus exams. Then summer, than my last year of high school.
I just wish I had any idea what the hell to do with myself.
Drive down to Ladner tomorrow and pick me up from school claiming to be my older brother and saying I have a doctor's appointment. If they claim we look nothing alike, clap your hands over my ears and berate them, saying your little brother is very sensitive about the whole adopted thing. In other news, I really like the new A.F.I. song. The chorus is catchy as hell. |
Heeyyyy Ms Molonaquai

Yeah, you know, I had a good high school life, good friends and all. But damn if I didn't feel the same way. Hmm. I'm still in contact with a couple people, but pretty much barely. Life's pretty good right now. Gonna keep doing my radio show over the summer, mostly to stay in touch with new music. Working on getting an internship at a magazine. Also a new job. That would be nice. Weirded out that I'm turning 21 in ten days. Contemplating the perfection of Monday evenings and the way everything in my life seems to somehow increasingly revolve around music. Shit's good. What Uni did you finally decide on, Zappa? |

I'm going to the University of Michigan. So I guess I'm better than all of you, etc.
|
Michigan? More like Mooshigan.
|
Nine school days until summer
|
Nutella is delicious.
Tomorrow is the big 6-6-06 party. I hope I don't die. |
Tomorrow my friend and I are going to see the Omen. On the back of our shirts will be tape and it will read "omg" and "end of teh world"
|
I've got three days of school left and then I'm on a five week break. It will be so good, especially when I go to Melbourne. I finished my last major piece of assessment for the term today for my English Extension class and I got a B+, which is better than expected.
I'm starting to get nervous about next year. Literally all (but one) of the people who I would consider to be close friends from school are going overseas for a year next year. I will still have friends, but I will probably be pretty lonely. It's like eight people going away. It's just crazy. Still, I think the positives of leaving High School far outweigh the negatives. |

You should go with them, it would be awesome fun. ...unless you have no cash or unless you're going to uni... :( |

I feel the same, all my friends are a few years older than me and they'll be leaving in a year. I'll have friends but the majority of people are the ones that are older. |

They're all going on like exchange programs and all to different places. Two are going to a boarding school to teach in Canada which would probably be quite fun. Honestly though, I couldn't see myself doing that for a year. My best friend is going to Mexico. I'm planning a holiday with one of my really good friends (who is a couple years older than me) for the beginning of next year. We are wanting to go overseas for three weeks or so. Financially, I don't know how it's work out, but I guess I'll see. |
Oh yeah, fair enough. I have a vague plan in the works to go over to Europe for a year at the end of next year or something. So hopefully I'll get my shit sorted and do it.
|
What are you thinking of doing over there?
|
Everyone always wants to come to Europe. It is pretty nice, I suppose.
I'm doing exams at the moment, just had my Intertextuality exam, which went alright, so yay. |

Weird, I have exams every year, twice. (three times, actually, most of the times. :upset: )
Maybe we don't have the same definition of exam. |
My exams start in less than a week, nervousness is beginning to kick in. These exams will decide whether I get into the university of my choice, which is really important to me. So I should probably be doing some work right now, instead of posting here...

Seven of my really close friends graduated and are leaving for college in the fall, and I'll only have one person who I'm really close to that will still be here. |

It's prolly a pipe dream, but wutevz. Damn, the day of the damned and I'm home sick. Well, at least I now have a cheque for $100 for selling my guitar....and am also listening to Yngwie Malmsteen to make up for it. Mindless shredding ftw. |
London is nice. Belgium is rarely the place people want to go to when they say they want to go to Europe. :upset:
