Ahh, my bad.

Spaceman Spiff 10-06-2006 05:04 PM
That's because you got it slightly wrong.

It's not Fripp, it's Crimson's other guitarist, Belew. They put out an album. It's good. :thumb:

Edit - So very tempted to delete your post, Spiff.

I'm just too smooth.

I think they actually put out two albums as a trio.

Belew put out three, Side 1, Side 2, and Side 3, but Side 2 he did completely on his own. I think Side 3 had Carey and Claypool again, but maybe not throughout the whole thing.

So, I think Im going to have 30 hours on my next check.

I was stupid with my money frm my last check and managed to spend 30 of it :( Im trying to save as much as heavenly possible. I have 100 in my bank for my next big buy.

IPolkaLikeThis! 10-06-2006 05:16 PM

since monday, I have been totally broke...

I seem to be a real dumbass with my money....

Jody LeCompte 10-06-2006 05:18 PM

I try to save atleast 120 out of my check each week.

I don't go out, buy anything, or do anything except save and buy gear because I can't write music without the EXACT right gear for me. Its a bit of a cripple I'll admit...

Im just angry at myself because I usually keep like $10 bucks and see how it goes because I only make 130 but this last check was $160 and I spent so much of it..

IPolkaLikeThis! 10-06-2006 05:22 PM

I got 140 last paycheck, and spent 60 on both a gift for my friend, and taking her out to lunch for her birthday. and then another 60 to my parrents and the rest on the fair..

that left me 20 bucks for gas, and so I didnt eat lunch at work for about 3 days...

Jody LeCompte 10-06-2006 05:24 PM

I don't mind splurging on gifts, taking people out, that kind of thing. But I wasted 60 bucks on food and bottled water.

IPolkaLikeThis! 10-06-2006 05:27 PM

I didnt mind spending my money on stuff, but the fact that I made my own lunch, and forgot to bring it with me to work THREE DAYS IN A ROW pissed me off a little..

Spaceman Spiff 10-06-2006 05:30 PM

I've gone without lunch so many times. It gets pretty easy after a while.

Of course, for the last few years I've been accustomed to not eating breakfast. So sometimes waking up at 7:30 and not eating until 3:30 or so got a little difficult, but I managed.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2006 05:32 PM

/has one meal a day.

I don't eat breakfast or lunch.

IPolkaLikeThis! 10-06-2006 05:33 PM

Yeah, I dont eat breakfast either. I have been waking up at 4am and I
'm used to eathing lunch at around 2-3pm, but forsome reason this week really pissed me off.

Akira 10-06-2006 05:49 PM

I eat lunch, but not breakfast. At least not on schooldays. I for some reason can't eat that early/soon after I get up.

IPolkaLikeThis! 10-06-2006 05:50 PM

If I eat too early, I will feel sick to my stomach...

Spaceman Spiff 10-06-2006 05:54 PM

A couple weeks ago, I don't even understand why, and it eventually just went away, but anytime I would try to put something in my mouth I felt like I was going to vomit. So when I tried to eat something or brush my teeth or anything, I'd nearly start gagging and feel like I was going to puke.

I don't understand it at all, but it stopped after about a week.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2006 06:23 PM

Did you drink heavy the night before it started?

HELLonWHEELS 10-06-2006 06:28 PM

hey
Did you drink heavy the night before it started?
Nope. It actually came out of nowhere, then disappeared out of nowhere.

blizzard 10-06-2006 06:44 PM

Hey people

Aerodyne 10-06-2006 06:52 PM

Hobbes, I just checked out your EUB, it looks hawt!! :thumb: Make it convertible from upright to horizontal. That would be cool.

That would be cool, though I don't think it would work all that well unfortunately.

Aerodyne 10-06-2006 07:07 PM

The NS design EUB's have a strap system that lets you switch. I'll try and find a pic, it's called the boomerang system or something.

EDIT: Here it is. http://nedsteinberger.com/instruments/basscello/crbasscello/boomprod.html

FunkMetalBass 10-06-2006 07:38 PM

Well, I am about to depart for the Homecoming football game tonight. I find out at half time if I've won Homecoming King or not. I'm not really materialistic or too caught up with these things, but I figure, if I've been nominated, I'd better give the people a reason to want me as king.

So, wish me luck!

I see, that still looks like it would be hard to implement on Ebes bass. Especially iif he doesn't have a standard scale lenght.

FMB: goodluck

Akira 10-06-2006 07:43 PM

Homecoming king?

Are you sure you're a bassist?

BenJammin 10-06-2006 08:04 PM

Hey everybody.

BenJammin 10-06-2006 08:12 PM

Fine then.

Nobody respond.

I'll just sit here and listen to Nick Cave and cry myself to sleep.

Akira 10-06-2006 08:14 PM

You have fun with that.

BenJammin 10-06-2006 08:17 PM

I will. :upset:

Do you like my Halloween-themed avatar?

Akira 10-06-2006 08:17 PM

It's beautiful. What are you up to?

BenJammin 10-06-2006 08:20 PM

Not a whole lot, really. I worked tonight, and I'm back in tomorrow morning, so I'm just killing time and relaxing, really. I want to go out and do something, but it's not worth the gross feeling tomorrow morning.

How about yourself?

Akira 10-06-2006 08:24 PM

Not a lot on this end either. I've got the last marching band competition of the season tomorrow. Its definately bittersweet - I will have a lot more free time, but marching band is pretty great and the season is ending too early.

What instrument do you play in the marching band?

BenJammin 10-06-2006 08:29 PM

Ending too early in your opinion, or is it actually ending too early?

Akira 10-06-2006 08:36 PM
What instrument do you play in the marching band?
Alto saxophone.

Ben: We got shafted at district. We have this invitational left, but ideally we would have made it past district to regionals. One judge completely slammed us the entire time, and our score plummeted from the week prior.

BenJammin 10-06-2006 08:40 PM

Ahhh... that sucks. Slash his tires.

Aerodyne 10-06-2006 08:47 PM

Hell yeah. I hate judges who don't judge fairly. That said, I've probably been on the winning end on an unfair judging before. Hmm... Yep, a friend of mine got shafted for using the words ****, goddamn, and gook in a speech competition. Swearing was not banned, he just got a sunday school teacher/youth group leader/pastor-to-be for a judge.

Akira 10-06-2006 08:51 PM

I'm sure I've been on the winning end. Last year out band swept all the awards al a few of our invitationals, and won most of them. Then at regionals, after this amazing season, we got not gold, not silver, not even bronze, but fucking participation. Boy was that not fun. But it was awesome in one way: when our score was announced the entire crowd gasped audibly - they all thought we had a killer show.

Moon Flavor 10-06-2006 09:33 PM

Hey all...
