yessir indeed. what did you obtain?
I downloaded the whole Husker Du discography and a lot of underground punk bands. I also "obtained" System of A Down's Steal This Album! and A Perfect Circle's Thirteen Step.

Not really indie but who cares.

Rabbi 01-06-2007 06:38 PM

I used to be really into SOAD but I guess I moved on. Husker Du is good though. I know alot of really big fans.

I almost got colour the small one today. I don't know why I didn't :/

bleep_bloop 01-06-2007 06:50 PM

indian summer is far more entertaining than husker du

Rabbi 01-06-2007 06:54 PM

You might be right about that, but Husker Du is still awsome.

Neoteric 01-06-2007 06:58 PM

I need to listen to Indian Summer.

But I still love the Huskers <3

br3ad_man 01-06-2007 07:11 PM

My friend went to Japan and bought me an Envy cd. What a kickass friend.

perriwinkle 01-06-2007 07:34 PM

hell if i know who Envy is

I Was A Kaleidoscope 01-06-2007 07:54 PM

Envy is a good band.
I've been enjoying the new album lately.

Rabbi 01-06-2007 08:29 PM

I don't like Envy that much, but their good nonetheless.

Zmev 01-06-2007 09:01 PM

Envy are sweet, end of story.

bleep_bloop 01-06-2007 09:01 PM

ive heard of them but never heard them, what are they like?

Rabbi 01-06-2007 09:03 PM

Kind of hard, less catchy and more.... downbeat?
It's a totally different sound then the indie/indie pop/brit pop general upbeat sound.

Electronic Wolf 01-06-2007 09:03 PM

Way off.

Electrocution 01-06-2007 09:18 PM

envy is hardcore/skram type deal.

bleep_bloop 01-06-2007 09:19 PM

cool

sup dei

Rabbi 01-06-2007 09:21 PM

How am I way off?

Zmev 01-06-2007 09:23 PM

You described them as a pop band.

Rabbi 01-06-2007 09:25 PM

I said they're sound is different then a pop band. And I said they were harder.

I guess I should've mentioned their genre.

sweboy 01-06-2007 09:36 PM

I approve of Envy.

Electronic Wolf 01-06-2007 09:48 PM

Envy sounds like they'd be awful.

Can I get a link?

Eliminator 01-06-2007 09:55 PM

a dead sinking story is so ****ing good.

Zmev 01-06-2007 10:08 PM

All the Footsteps... is still all I've heard from them, though I have the other two also.

br3ad_man 01-06-2007 10:43 PM

Envy is like Mogwai but screamo.

asdf 01-06-2007 11:05 PM

So right now I'm attempting to rip from this vinyl that I found in my house (it came in a copy of the bob magazine, which I've never even heard of) that has R.E.M. covering Arms of Love by Robyn Hitchcock, Smashing Orange (who I've never heard of) covering Syd Barrett - No Good Trying, and Neil & the D-tales (featuring sebadoh's lou barlow and bob fay) - Fanzine politiks.

It's pretty awesome, espcially the REM, but because it was just sitting around my house and it's really flimsy, the recording has so much hiss, and I don't think cooledit can completely fix it.

But I love my turntable.

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 12:45 AM

:envious:

asdf 01-07-2007 12:48 AM
:envious:
Envious of the music or turntable?

Becuase if it's the music, if this hiss reduction I'm doing works, I can send it to you.

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 12:56 AM

both i guess

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 01:00 AM

who cares about the hiss? lo-fi is where its at.

asdf 01-07-2007 01:05 AM

Yeah, that's what my friend said when I told her about it. But it's been doing hiss reduction for about an hour now, and I'm not about to stop it.

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 01:06 AM

ok. well then thats not bad youll just have a cleaner sounding recording.

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 01:36 AM

see, guerilla leaders can have fun too
