Oh man....he was such a hippie in the early to mid '70s....

P.S. - I'm a guy, and I can admit he looks kinda hot in the third one :p

CombatRock 06-08-2005 03:45 PM

woah this pictures look nothing like joe, and the first one looks like a dirty hippe.

white_riot 06-08-2005 03:48 PM

In the first one, What in the hell was Joe thinking with his hair. I agree with you on the third one Joe looks really cool.

CombatRock 06-08-2005 04:31 PM

The 101ers cds are on sale now right?

guns_of_brixton 06-08-2005 05:19 PM

In that last picture, Joe invented wearing those shoes. There are at least 5 people I have seen wearing them. They only look cool on Joe. :D

CombatRock 06-08-2005 06:45 PM

did he paint those himself?

Coma_Girl 06-08-2005 06:47 PM
In that last picture, Joe invented wearing those shoes. There are at least 5 people I have seen wearing them. They only look cool on Joe. :D
it's sad they wouldnt look cool on me, cause on joe, it looks like the coolest shoes ever. :upset: I'm looking for shoes to wear with my prom dress, huh

CombatRock 06-08-2005 07:50 PM

Coma_Girl 06-08-2005 07:56 PM

im going alone cause im a loser, but its okay cause most of my friends are going alone too. and i had this idea of writing lyrics on my dress, like just a line or something, but i cant decide what. ive read almost all the mescaleros lyrics and didnt find the kind of line i was looking for.

CombatRock 06-08-2005 08:36 PM

write Kick over the wall cos governments to fall on your dress!

I forgot the joke, cause wasn't really paying attention until it showed the London Calling thing. And John Stewart is a comedian.

Johnny EPHC 06-08-2005 09:38 PM

Is the JS&TM song Tony Adams about the former Arsenal player?

Glitterati 06-09-2005 12:18 AM
Clampdown is probley my fav. the lyrics are soooo amazing.
Truth, just the way he sings it so fast and full of emotional.

I love the way Joe could could convey the message of the song through his voice, it was so emotional. Like in "Train In Vain", he sounds genuinely hurt.

CombatRock 06-09-2005 12:21 AM

do you watch it regulary, its the greatest show on tv.

Glitterati 06-09-2005 11:33 PM
do you watch it regulary, its the greatest show on tv.
Truth.

I was glancing at this book at the library about the 100 Greatest Album Covers Ever (or something) and they had London Calling. There was all sorts of cool info about the album on it. For example:

Paul smashed his bass so hard on the cover, he broke his watch. As a souvenir, he gave it to the photographer.

(may not be 100% correct, I read it a while ago)
