Wouldn't that be spelled lei'd then? But, no, they didn't do that for me, anyways. Cheap bastards.

clustifux 07-18-2006 12:21 PM

it would be spelled that way but i just wanted to be a smart ***....jeeeesus...

Subvert_bassist 07-18-2006 07:41 PM

Well, apparently, I'm a better smartass than you. Haha.

Anyone dig screamo? I've been spinnin' Amanda Woodward, I Would Set Myself on Fire for You, Pg. 99, and Circle Takes the Square recently.

clustifux 07-18-2006 08:14 PM

yeah....

Well i know that were not sopposed to boast about our bands in here...but Relapse(my orchestra of crap) is going to start recording next week(if no plans pop up) Hopefully by the end of next week well have our demo done and hopefully you guys enjoy it...

Circle Takes the Square is screamo?

Pornogoregrindnoise are pretty cool. wish they had more tracks on their myspizzle.

I'm a pretty big fan. It's primarily what I listen to. Check out Orchid, The Red Scare, Song of Zarathustra, Makara, Shahrazad, City of Caterpillar, Off Minor, and Saetia.

Subvert_bassist 07-18-2006 10:50 PM

I wan never huge into Orchid, but now I'm starting to think I should give them a second listen. I'm in love with Saetia and City of Caterpillar. Especially Seatia. Makara is sick, too.

P.S: Yeah, CTTS is considered screamo.

RetiredAt21 07-18-2006 11:24 PM

Orchid rules so hard. Have you ever heard of Neil Perry? If not, you should really check them out.

Subvert_bassist 07-18-2006 11:48 PM

Dude, I ****ing LOVE Neil Perry. Have you ever heard the Improv Jams? So chill, especially part one.

And, after giving Orchid a second try, I definately like them more now. All I heard before was their split with Pig Destroyer, and I unfairly labeled them as grind without actually listening. Now, I got Dance Tonight! Revolution Tomorrow!, and it's ill.

I like the video they made for "master of profits".
But I don't like the vocals.

Subvert_bassist 07-21-2006 09:59 AM

Hewhocorrupts is a quality band. Pretty good.

How about Hellshock? I'm probably driving me and a couple bandmates to Berkeley in late August to see them. They rule.

The Negation 07-21-2006 11:58 AM

Does anyone have any Squash Bowels tracks from Tnyribal [sp?] or Love Songs that they might be willing to send me? Pretty please...

Yeah man, really good stuff.

AIRIC 07-21-2006 01:05 PM

Magrudergrind are amazing. Just listening to them now.

RetiredAt21 07-21-2006 01:10 PM

Magrudergrind rule so hard. One of the best bands around at the moment.

Iron Bug 07-22-2006 09:55 PM

I f'ucking love Magrudergrind.

DTRT is my favorite release by them. This is the band that got me into any hardcore/emo music, and they're still one of my favorites.

Magrudergrind is the best band ever.

Almost.
Magrudergrind is the best band ever.
Not quite.

Subvert_bassist 07-25-2006 02:01 AM

They're good, but not the best. There's better bands.

Like Tragedy.

Feel The Darkness 07-25-2006 02:53 AM
They're good, but not the best. There's better bands.

Tragedy is way overrated. Good band, but they're hyped way too much. FAR and HHIG were both waaay better, and they don't have that good a live show. I saw 'em last summer at Chaos and it sucked, so this year I skipped their set and watched the Business. Now that was a good show.

username77 07-25-2006 09:31 AM

I bought a Napalm Death cd this weekend.
I had never heard them, nor had I ever put in any effort into listening to grindcore short of downloading some anal cunt.
I was impressed. I liked it.

Times Ten 07-25-2006 10:38 AM
Not quite.
I'm not being serious. Of course they aren't the best band ever but they are great.

Times Ten 07-25-2006 10:39 AM

And yeah, Tragedy is overrated as hell.

Axe Slingin' Mutha Reppin 07-25-2006 01:41 PM

Agreed 100%

Also, Kylesa are sweet. This is my second time listening to To Walk A Middle Course and it's awesome.

RetiredAt21 07-25-2006 05:40 PM

I LOOOOOVE Tragedy.

Subvert_bassist 07-25-2006 06:35 PM

FAR is better. So is Kylesa. But Tragedy is still amazing.

Kylesa and CTTS are good friends. I thought that was kinda wierd until I considered their music.

Times Ten 07-26-2006 12:50 PM

I can't decide if I like Kylesa or not.

Subvert_bassist 07-26-2006 02:04 PM

I happen to be obsessed with bands from Savanna.

Kylesa is coming through soon; it'll be sick to see them with their dual drummers now.

RetiredAt21 07-26-2006 03:33 PM

Dual drummers? That is crazy.

WHEN?! WHEN?! WHEN?! WHEN?!

RetiredAt21 07-29-2006 05:40 PM

Do Kylesa have dual drummers all the time?

Subvert_bassist 07-29-2006 06:56 PM

No, they just recently added a second drummer, so on all the recording and past tours, they had one, but now they have two that play together contantly. They do sick things like one drummer keeping the beat while the other solos and ****. Like this:

RetiredAt21 07-29-2006 07:36 PM
