Sure have. I hear of all Thrash from the UK! have to be loyal to your country. Mind you since I came over here I've got into Hobbs Angel Of Death and Mortal Sin....both bad *** bands.

As for Slammer, they are good, but I'd still pick Xentrix and Sabbat over 'em. Acid Reign are another pretty decent English thrash band.....most of the members went onto Cathedral.
Im from england i havent heard of slammer :( i should really try and hear some more english thrash i have heard xentrix, sabbat and a tiny bit of acid reign also lawnmower deth and metal duck

It's Official: METALLICA Drummer LARS ULRICH, Wife Call It Quits

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich has released the following statement via the group's official web site:

"Lars and Skylar Ulrich are getting divorced after seven years of marriage. The couple has been quietly separated since March. They will share custody of their two children."

Ulrich's statement is believed to have been issued in response to The New York Post article linking the drummer to Danish actress Connie Nielsen. Nielsen (photos)http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=GLS====61152&c4nvi=3&str=827&styp=clbi, who played opposite Russell Crowe in "Gladiator", recently split with Huey, the lead singer of one-hit wonders FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS.

irbsk8ing 07-20-2004 10:28 AM

ya i've heard darkness descends by dark angel and i like it. well thats depends u call thrash. i like metallica, megadeth, shadows fall, motorhead, hatebreed, static x, pantera, chimaira, dream theater, marilyn manson and a bunch that i just cant think of right now

GraveRobbersINC 07-20-2004 11:46 AM

well metallica, megadeth, and motorhead are thrash. Pantera is borderline, and the rest is not thrash.

irbsk8ing 07-20-2004 12:25 PM

well then name me some thrash and i'll tell u what i've heard and wat i like

GraveRobbersINC 07-20-2004 12:27 PM

coroner, testament, exodus, anthrax, dark angel, stormtroopers of death, slayer, metallica, megadeth, sepultura, venom, kreator, vio-lence...umm...thats all I can think of now.
EDIT: Death Angel

irbsk8ing 07-20-2004 12:32 PM

i've heard of and i like exodus, anthrax, dark angel, slayer, venom, metallica, and megadeth. i havent any music by the rest of the bands

RCA 07-20-2004 04:05 PM

Yay, a thrash thread! Can I join the clan? I've heard DD many many times (its a shame Dark Angel didnt get much respect), and ive heard many other great thrash bands. I also hate posers with a passion. So, how about it?

You know guys, if someone were to tell me that Cloak and Dagger by Witchfynde wasn't the coolest song ever, I'd have to say they're lying.

MAthiAS 07-20-2004 04:44 PM

question... someone want to reccomend me some Exodus, Coroner, and Testament?

I picked up Practice What You Preach last week, its awesome

GraveRobbersINC 07-20-2004 04:47 PM

Exodus-Bonded By Blood, that album kicks ***(BBB, A lesson in Violence, Metal Command, yeah just buy the album, its great)
and as for Testament-The Legacy is supposed to be the best, I've heard some of The New Order which I like a lot
Coroner-Everyone says Punishment for Decadence, and RIP are the best. I've only heard the song Die By My Hand.

ThrashMaster27 07-20-2004 05:35 PM

I'd like Punishment For Decadence if the vocals were more hearable. Album wise for Coroner, I'd get anything but Grin. It's good, but it's not very Thrash-esque. Exodus you need Bonded By Blood, but Tempo Of The ****ed and Fabolous Disaster are both great albums aswell. All the Testament albums are great in their own way but I recommend The New Order over anything else.

sensitiveorgan00 07-20-2004 06:59 PM

The Legacy = Testament's best album.

Why?
It has Apocalyptic City.

\m/!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Griffin_Page 07-20-2004 07:02 PM

For Coroner, get R.I.P... personally I don't dig Ron Royce's vocals, but the music on its own is just awesome... technical thrash riffing at its best.

ThrashMaster27 07-20-2004 07:12 PM
The Legacy = Testament's best album.

\m/!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You actually said The instead of Teh....I'm suprised. The Legacy is a great album......Over The Wall, Burnt Offerings, First Strike Is Deadly etc etc. Think I might have a listen to it now actually.

sensitiveorgan00 07-20-2004 11:08 PM

^ Oh shi.t, I did. :p whoops.

Hmmm, I need some more Testament. What are some good songs/albums when they started playing more death metal?

NP: World Sinfonia - Libertango. You guys should listen to this stuff, good stuff.

RCA 07-20-2004 11:12 PM

Try "The Gathering". There's some pretty heavy songs on that album.

DimebagDarrell 07-21-2004 01:39 PM

Low, The gathering and Demonic but i would say demonic was the worst of the lot

RCA 07-21-2004 01:50 PM

I forgot to say that if I join, my album acronym will be PTK for Pleasure To Kill.

SLAYER guitarist Jeff Hanneman recently spoke to the Rock N Roll Experience web site about the group's upcoming CD, METALLICA, MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine and his past drug use. The following are some of the highlights of the interview:

Rock N Roll Experience: What did you think of METALLICA's progression?

Jeff Hanneman: "I guess you could say we saw it coming, because even back in the day when they were heavy as ****, Lars [Ulrich] was into some kind of new wave bands and he was always talking about that kind of crap, so you can see it coming, but I don't know, we listened to punk and stuff like that and we are not listening to metal or whatever, so there was no reason for us to change."

Rock N Roll Experience: What do you think of [MEGADETH mainman] Dave Mustaine finding God after he got sober?

Jeff Hanneman: "I don't know [laughs]. All I know about him is I used to like his guitar playing a lot, I liked his first few records, of course I liked his stuff when he was in METALLICA and I liked his solos because they were like really technical, but they had an anger to them with a little over-the-edge type of sound, but his last few albums were just too commercial for me. Personally, I think the guy is a little out of his mind, but I get along with him."

Rock N Roll Experience: Did you have any drug problems?

Jeff Hanneman: "Well, me and Tom (Araya) and some of my friends, we used to really be into cocaine, and like one day Tom was dropping me off at home and I think it was 7 or 8 in the morning and I think it was after two days of staying up and he's driving and I'm shoving **** up his nose & I'm taking stuff and this can lead to only death or something, this is going too far. So I quit and he quit and I think he (Tom) just smokes pot now and I drink and that's about it. We quit because I was taking pills and doing all of that ****, it was just like, one day, you know what, it's enough!"

Rock N Roll Experience: When is the new SLAYER CD coming out?

Jeff Hanneman: "I think we are gonna go in January, we were trying to get it out this year & it turned out that way because Rick Rubin [American Recordings head honcho] is changing distributors again like always and we figured why do the record now and have it sit on the shelf."

Jamie FT 07-21-2004 01:53 PM
