The Door Mouse 10-29-2007 05:58 PM

Does anyone have any Mono uploaded because all I have is You Are There and I'm in love with it so I'm looking into some other stuff.

Concubine 10-29-2007 06:02 PM

theres this thing called googleblogsearch

bucket 10-29-2007 09:08 PM
What about tiny silver hammers? i heard that was quite good
it is quite good, but it's just different parts of Yanqui, so if you've heard that, you've basically heard Tiny Silver Hammers.

also, there's this thing called albumbase.com

Kage 10-29-2007 09:22 PM
also, there's this thing called albumbase.com...
...that sucks big time.

bucket 10-29-2007 09:30 PM

whaaaaat.

Yeah, there are dead links half the time, but it basically does the job for free non torrential downloading.

Kage 10-29-2007 09:33 PM

I disagree. I prefer searching blogs and Sordo archive.
Does anyone have any Mono uploaded because all I have is You Are There and I'm in love with it so I'm looking into some other stuff.
I have that, One More Step and You Die, Under the Pipal Tree, and Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun Shined.

Walking Cloud... is my current favorite I believe.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-30-2007 12:01 AM

albumbase is like my last resort

oracrest 10-30-2007 12:38 AM
Does anyone have any Mono uploaded because all I have is You Are There and I'm in love with it so I'm looking into some other stuff.
I tend to swing between that album, and "one more step and you die"

both really good. the second track on one more step is one of my favorite songs of theirs.

Txus 10-30-2007 01:12 AM

Albumbase sucks, Sordo free hostia and Lucidmedia FTW.

eug008 10-30-2007 02:21 AM

Sordo owwnnnns.

big80smullet 10-30-2007 04:00 AM

Wait what! albumbase is like my first stop. what arethese other sites and can i get against me from them?

whatduffhuck7 12-06-2007 01:14 AM

is this a albumbase thread or..........

Bordello 01-18-2008 02:19 PM

This was very hard to find!

The Door Mouse 01-18-2008 02:31 PM

:upset:

The search thing didn't work for me and the least recent post on the R&M thread was 1-09. I don't know what to do from there.

LifeInABox 01-21-2008 05:09 PM

I have You Are There, but I havn't listened all the way through it yet. I was stuck in repeat on God Is An Astronaut.

Apocalypticon 01-21-2008 05:19 PM

You Are There is good. I like it better than the other Mono stuff. Yearning and The Flames Beyond the Cold Mountain are very very solid tracks. The three minute filler songs are kind of unnecessary though.

7SOR 01-21-2008 05:26 PM

(COM)? is one of the best songs Mono have ever written. I think I may slightly prefer One More Step and You Die over You Are There because of it. I don't think a recorded version does any justice whatsoever to seeing them live though.

Txus 01-21-2008 06:28 PM

Srsly, Moonlight is the most emotional Post Rock song I've ever heard.

i am the robots 01-21-2008 06:41 PM

The only post rock I listen to is Giants and The Red Sparowes, and the next closest thing would be Envy or As Cities Burn, so like, yeah, recommendations would be super.

LifeInABox 01-21-2008 07:09 PM

They're both Post Metal

God Is An Astronaut
Sigur Ros
Explosions In The Sky

i am the robots 01-21-2008 07:10 PM

Somebody explain the difference between post rock and post metal to me then.
