I'm learning the Back in Black solo

It's a big step up from You Shook Me, the last AC/DC solo I learned, haha.
That solo sounds nice, and is piss easy to learn.

AC/DC's most underated track - If you want blood. Been listening to it for about a week now.

Masterofpuppetz89 11-29-2005 11:46 AM

THE MOST OVERRATED BAND IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC. Seriously though......its like motley crue on crack.

Music Man 11-29-2005 01:35 PM
Probably Brian Johnson, as most people revere Bon Scott. Brian is different, but he isn't necessarily crap.
I agree. I think Brian stepped in and did an excellent job after Bon died. He wrote most of the lyrics for "Back in Black", one of the biggest selling albums in history. His voice is unique and powerful, and well-suited for AC/DC's music.

I believe he was the best possible replacement they could've found. The band may have dissolved if it hadn't been for Brian. And "Back in Black" wouldn't have been the monster album it turned out to be.

if back in black wasnt the monster it was i would be ten times happier because AC/DC probably wouldve given up

To each his own.

A lot of people liked them, because only four rock bands in history have sold more albums. And only four albums in history have sold more copies than "Back in Black".

You are aware that your post could be bannable right?

No one is allowed to enter a bands thread and mindlessly flame it.

If you dislike the band please intelligently explain why.

How many tracks you heard?
How many tracks you heard?
He's probably only listen to Shook me all night long and Back in Black.

I hate when people just listen to like two or three songs from a band and then say how horrible they are.

Anyways I got to read this Guitar Legends article on the band. I found out how Angus really plays Hells Bells.

Hells Bells:

e:-------------------------------------------------------------
b:-------------------------------------------------------------
g:---9---7-----5-----7---------9---7----5------7--------------
d:-----9---7-----5-----7---------9---7----5----7---5-5-2------
a:-0---------0-----0-----0-0-----------0----0------3-2-0------
e:-------------------------------------------------------------

He also said that originally they wrote the song in E instead of A (everything above played down one string) but had to change it in order for Brian to sing it.

mr black 12-04-2005 09:34 PM

Well to be honest they have to take the award for one dimentional band of the century.....all there riffs are along the same line with basic rock beats?!...

rippa32 12-04-2005 11:46 PM

Why are you here, if you have only one dimensional things to say?

AB/CD 12-05-2005 10:17 AM

cos he wants to express his opinion about the band but without giving abuse about them

rippa32 12-05-2005 06:22 PM

Yes but what he said is quite ignorant seeing as none of the riffs are "along the same line".

"If you want Blood" is a cool song. But I think "Sin City" is the most underated. I just love that song. And the video of it on 'Family Jewels' just made me love it more.

After a long while of not watching it, I finally got around to watching my Stiff Upper Lip DVD. Now I remember why I loved it, the crap that came up on the back of the stage during Hard as A Rock.

Oh and I heard something from my college professor that made me laugh my a$$ off,

Anyone who dislikes the band AC/DC is uncomfortable with their Sexuality.

Probably isn't true, but made me laugh anyways.

Yes, If You Want Blood is an awesome song, so is all of the Highway To Hell album. I was watching that longest yard movie with Adam Sandler, well actually just the end because I had nothing to do and usually hate Sandler movies, but they played If You Want Blood, I was so shocked.

angusvsslash52 12-06-2005 09:29 AM

In my opinion Carry Me Home is Ac/Dc's best song.

Bon_Scottie 12-13-2005 04:47 PM
In my opinion Carry Me Home is Ac/Dc's best song.
Its a good track, but the guitars sound really un-AC/DCish. Maybe its a bad recording, but they sound real distorted.

Anyway, anybody got "Bonfire"? Its been reduced to about thirty five quid here, so Im thinking of buying it.

guitaraddict21119 12-19-2005 10:54 AM
Probably, knowing him.
yeah he does i think. in family jewels malcom plays lead in high voltage or show buiseness and hes still hoppin about

guitaraddict21119 12-19-2005 11:38 AM
I just saw the video to rock me baby with AC/DC playing with the Rolling stones it's a good video Angus is playing a les paul it looks huge on him

They all live in Australia except Rudd who lives in New Zealand, Angus is in Sydney, don't now about the rest.
I haven't heard anything new, about the tour or the CD =/

Dead_Trench 12-20-2005 07:59 PM

I'm a fan of AC/DC. I don't listen to their music wanting super technical crap, like said(probably a million times by now) they are just simple and catchy. One thing that does annoy me though, is that most of their songs are about pretty much the same thing.

classicrockman 12-20-2005 08:06 PM

:amaze:

Blapsfemy!! (how do you spell that word?)

rippa32 12-20-2005 08:33 PM

Blasphemy. I do understand what your saying but I was too busy listening to the song to care. lol. Oh nd btw I heard Rock 'n' Roll Aint Noise Pollution on the radio today instead of the usual AC/DC songs that get played.

Brokensticks 12-20-2005 09:08 PM

ACDC could possibly be the easiest band to cover.... Well especially for the drums.

classicrockman 12-24-2005 09:19 PM
ACDC could possibly be the easiest band to cover.... Well especially for the drums.
Yep, probably. But they're one of the most fun to play. :thumb:

Grimm 12-24-2005 09:45 PM

AC/DC aren't the most talented band out there, but they have written some great rock anthems, and are original.probably the most original band to come out of australia and they do there own thing.when silverchair first came out, they were basically an australian Nirvana. AC'DC will remain rock legends, but not for musicianship.

Treefingers 12-25-2005 02:01 PM

The most overated band EVER

This thread has really failed. There are no AC/DC fans. :upset:
