I'm bored, so I decided to do a kind of mini thing were I educate those who don't know Megadeth's guitarists.
I'm bored, yes. Chris Poland Chris Poland was actually a trained Jazz (yes, a Jazz guitarist) before he joined Megadeth, were Dave twisted him into the riff and solo machine we see today. Albums: Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good! Recomended songs: Mechanix, Killing Is My Business, and Rattlehead. Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? Recomended songs: Wake Up Dead, The Conjuring, Black Friday. Jeff Young Jeff Young, wasn't actually the guitarist Dave wanted, but the guitarist he wanted had to call his teacher, who was Jeff, and he was thus intergrated into the band. Albums: So Far, So Good, So What ! Recomended Songs: Into The Lungs Of Hell, Set The World Afire, Liar. Marty Friedman Riff and solo meistro Marty was at first nearly not chosen for job as guitarist...Thank God he was though... Albums: Rust In Peace Recomended songs: Holy Wars, Rust In Peace, Take No Prisoners. Countdown To Extinction Recomended songs: Skin 'o' My Teeth, Architecture of Aggression, Psychotron. Youthnasia Recomended songs: A Touté Lá Mondé, Black Curtains, Youthnasia. Cryptic Writings Recomended songs: Trust, Have Cool-Will Travel, FFF. Risk Recomended songs: Prince Of Darkness, Enter The Arena, Seven. And well yes, that's it for my helpful post. |

I've heard Angry Again, Go to Hell, and 99 Ways to die off that album. All wicked tracks. 99 Ways to Die is one of my favorite Megadeth songs. |
I just read that there are 40 bands that want to be on the Gigantour second stage!

Mind naming a few? Or, do you not know any of them? |
Dave hasn't named any, he says he may have the fans vote on who to bring after he narrows it down a bit. Me and him are tight like that ;)

I think Chris Poland played some leads on The Sytem Has Failed. I'm noy sure whether he played all the leads or just a couple.
So who is the guitarist from the sytem has failed album
That was Chris Poland. |
Chris Poland has a pretty sweet solo on Ashes of the Wake.
|
Chris Poland has a pretty sweet solo on Ashes of the Wake.
What the hell are you talking about? |
What the hell are you talking about?
In the song Ashes of the Wake, one of the solos is chris poland, and the other one is alex skolnik from testament. |
Ashes of the Wake is a Lamb of God album.
|
Ashes of the Wake is a Lamb of God album.
And track 10 is an instrumental named "Ashes of the Wake". n00b  |
Hmm, it seems this is true. I wouldn't expect thrash guitarists to play on a metalcore release.
