I'm not going to get into the "I hate stupid left wing politics" stuff again, I just got over the whole thing in the comm. thread.
Let's just put it this way. No matter what political direction you swing, there are always going to be groups whom you will feel the need to apologize to everyone else for. For liberals like myself, it's people like diehard socialists. For conservatives, it's the religious right. For environmentalists, it's PETA.

Merely more proof that stupidity is ubiquitous and no one with a decent head on their shoudlers is in charge these days.

Lord Abortion 09-12-2005 05:38 PM

/\/\ Very true

Hahaha...I just realised that RATM are the band I'm least likely to like, ever.
I dislike rap immenesly
and I don't like left wing political music.

So...I'm not going to like rage at all, eh?

Hells Bells 09-12-2005 05:56 PM

Very true. I supported the Liberals (in Canada by the way), and then watched them make asses out of themselves. People who actually care about getting something done stay out of politics and try to make changes in their own communities, like I've heard about people operating businesses successfully based on the principles of participatory economics.
I would like to hit Nightwish fanboys with a bat.
I would like to hit YOU with a bat. :p

Fanboys ARE irritating though...

However, what's it matter if Jukka is average? Put somebody else there and the music would be crap. However, he's perfect for it...

I'm a moderate...at least, that's what this "What political party are you?" test we took in school said anyway.

I steer clear of politics...it solves nothing.

shadow_stalker 09-13-2005 04:43 AM
Good. I would vote Conservative, because in all fairness, there are TOO MANY LEECHING IMIGRANTS IN OUR COUNTRY. They are destroying our education system especially.
I would send them home if i had the power.

I have just discoverd what an awesome album Silence by Sonata is (already new it would be but nevermind)

Kronos 09-13-2005 05:58 AM
I think they deserve a bat to the chest just for saying their drummer is excellent, when is clearly only just above par.
Well to be so average, and to sound so good - that's genius. Wish many other "brilliant" drummers would forget about showing us all how brilliant they are - and get on with the music.

Taste_My_Scythe 09-13-2005 08:47 AM

 I think I'm going to stay out of the political discussion for once.
Where is Rhapsody from?

Iron Bars 09-13-2005 08:50 AM

Rhapsody are from Italy. Pretty cheesy even for PM but technicly very good. Got Symphony of the enchanted lands and its kinda growing on me at the moment.

Taste_My_Scythe 09-13-2005 08:51 AM

That's the one I've got...Neurotoxin uploaded it. Agreed, though...very cheesy. I heard a bit on an accent when I listened to them and I was trying to pick it out. Thanks. I really like the second song on Symphony

Lord Abortion 09-13-2005 09:09 AM

Rhapsody have some brilliant riffs, and are a great band overall, it took me a while to get them, but I really like them now.
I wonder if that may happen with Hammerfall, who are a little meh for me.

Taste_My_Scythe 09-13-2005 09:17 AM

Yeah! I hope it does, because I got Chapter V and I hardly listen to it. Maybe I'll try again, now that I'm getting exposed to more of the PM cheese.

Hells Bells 09-13-2005 12:06 PM

When I was first introduced to PM, I couldn't stand the cheese that so much of the music seemed to drip with.
Now that I'm taking another look at all the bands that I rejected at first because of the vocals and the elves and dragonslaying lyrics...I actually really like it. It makes the music seem so much more colourful, vibrant and dramatic.

If you put Michael Van Dyne, Aquiles Prester or Jens Mulushcaka in his place and the music would probably get slightly less annoying.

I don't have a problem with him being average, i have a problem with people saying hes good, when hes not.

Well I like him. Fetch your weapon of choice, and I shall await thee...

Arucard 09-13-2005 12:58 PM

Right i've got a Katana. I swear when i've got the money i'm going to make a martial arts/anime themed Power Metal band. It will be better than any female fronted 'Power Metal*' bands today.

*Term used in loosed senses possible.

Lord Abortion 09-13-2005 01:03 PM

Yeah, but Tarja is hot, dude...

and you're, well, not :P

Right then, I'll load my Browning.
/game over. The world is now safe for female-fronted power metal bands to proliferate, and bring masturbatory fantasies to teenage boys the world over. Rejoice!

That was anti-climactic.

English? I don't know names...what bands are they in?

Anyway, Jukka's not the greatest, but he's better than a lot of people give him credit for (read: you).

Did I cross a line there?

Man, even I found that in bad taste...and I don't usually find things in bad taste.

Meh, I still got my Cristina Scabbia fantasies (and my tribute to her over my bed). :D

I love my new U/T

Yeh, probably.

I'm going to see if I can record anything onto my mp3 player aswell.

I'll say...

Arucard 09-13-2005 03:33 PM

Shattered : No he isn't. Those drummers are the drummers of Arsis, Angra and Dissilusion, all VERY intersting drummers who can also blast the fuc out of their kits.

And anyway, i guess it just depends whether your listening to the music or touching yourself over the singer.
