Against Miik! 08-06-2004 10:40 PM

No we arent't done with the Allman Brothers. Yeah Dickey has amazing style as far as soloing goes. I love the part in Jessica where he comes out of the keyboard solo. That is just genious. I dont think Dream Theater could do that.

Trucks and Haynes It was. I listened to that cd like 5 times on a road trip type thing. Back when it was the first one I had and I was just getting into the allmans.

Badmoon 08-06-2004 10:42 PM

rocked not rolleded 08-06-2004 10:43 PM

themightyquinn 08-06-2004 10:43 PM

Didn't the Dead do a bunch of covers of Bob Dylan songs?

Against Miik! 08-06-2004 10:43 PM

Of what, Jessica?

Badmoon 08-06-2004 10:43 PM

Allman Brothers fans: Check out Allen Woodey. He played bass with Gov't Mule and enter The A.B. when Haynes did. He's a fantastic bass player.

rocked not rolleded 08-06-2004 10:44 PM

Will do! (eventually).

magicbus 08-06-2004 10:48 PM

I'm not familiar enough with The Allman Brothers to discuss this in depth. I'm gonna go listen to some as I fall asleep. Night.

Against Miik! 08-06-2004 10:49 PM

[QUOTE=badmoon349]Yeah, they were.

Would that be me?

themightyquinn 08-06-2004 10:49 PM

I've been listening to The Great Twenty-Eight a lot lately(I'm going to review it soon). BeforeI listened to it, I thought he was just another blues influenced 50's rock artists, but as I listen to it more, I realize he is one of the greatest and most influencial rock aritst ever.
