That's very complicated. See, my fiancé and his girlfriend were also friends, but as a result of matters out of my hands they are also becoming no longer friends. My best friend lives two hours away, and is only home on the weekends, so I never see him because he's with his girl.

Now she's moving up there with him so he probably won't even be down very often.

I guess I should be happy for them, but I've just been too busy wallowing in self-pity since I found out.
ya , i see my friends maybe once a month if im lucky , especially with my new job and stuff.

iceman3019 11-07-2004 01:41 PM

Saitoku 11-07-2004 01:41 PM

Good morning, I think.....

It's 2:38pm here.

FUNKNBASS 11-07-2004 01:42 PM

Good morning.

janyeno 11-07-2004 01:42 PM

man guys... I don't know which to buy right now... a boss mt-2 distortion pedal for my guitar... or a dunlop 105q bass wah...

fatbandit 11-07-2004 01:43 PM
But something about my personality just prevents people from liking me until they know me, (I've been told this a million times) but no one wants to get to know me
I know what you mean man. I'm like that with girls, REALLY badly. How old are you? I know Uni is a good place to meet people, because nobody knows anybody.

DaveSavesTheDay 11-07-2004 01:44 PM

Good Mourning. Its also 2:38 pm here but good mourning

fatbandit 11-07-2004 01:44 PM

Janyeno - Distortion for more of a band (rock/metal?) setting, Wah for solo/more funk oriented band stuff. My opinion! Rah!

DaveSavesTheDay 11-07-2004 01:45 PM

Janyeno - I'd go with wah

Edit : Woot 700th post.. kinda ...

iceman3019 11-07-2004 01:46 PM
man guys... I don't know which to buy right now... a boss mt-2 distortion pedal for my guitar... or a dunlop 105q bass wah...
neither, i suggest you look into the morely dual bass wah pedal, it completely owns the crybaby in tonal versatility and in usefullness with the step on/off function :thumb: . . .

fatbandit 11-07-2004 01:46 PM

Its really not morning here either - its 20 to 8 in the evening :s

FUNKNBASS 11-07-2004 01:46 PM

Jan, I would go with a wah if I was you.

I'll be 21 in a couple weeks.

I'm actually attending the University of Maine at Farmington. I've met a few people, but nobody wants you if you don't fit their click. I just don't do clicks. I think that scares people.

janyeno 11-07-2004 01:51 PM

Eh i bought the wah...

I hope it sounds better than the cry baby I could get for for free though..

iceman3019 11-07-2004 01:52 PM

^^^

wait, which wah did you buy  . . .

janyeno 11-07-2004 01:53 PM

i bought the dunplop 105q...

i could have gotten the original cry baby... the guitar one I guess for free

DaveSavesTheDay 11-07-2004 01:53 PM

and how did you buy it so fast?

janyeno 11-07-2004 01:54 PM
and how did you buy it so fast?
I know. I honestly don't know how I am friends with the people I am. I guess it just kind of happens. You do find people that aren't bothered about images or being part of the group, you just have to wait. Look for an ad for a bass player in a newspaper? If you find a band you like, you get to hang around with them, and become mates with their mates. I dunno, just don't give up on people, however many are jackasses ;)

DaveSavesTheDay 11-07-2004 01:57 PM

^^ 123

Yeah, I've been around the circle a few times. What I'm hoping is that everything works out with my current group. But, like I said, I'm a pessimist.

I've thought about looking for a band to join. Last time I was in a band it was a blast, but one of the guys moved out to Washington State with the Americorps... I never really bothered looking again after that. Maybe once I turn 21 I'll start hitting the bars on open mic nights.

just got back from marching band grand national competitions. we got 16th place over all , and we won our class and got the caption of "best general effect"

fatbandit 11-07-2004 02:10 PM

Go for it. I don't like the idea of auditioning for bands, especially people I don't know. I don't like being judged I spose.

Both of my bands, I've kind of been asked to join though, so its not been a problem thus far. But getting onto the gig circuit gets you to know all the cool local bands too.

^^Woah. Cool. :amaze:

Back when I was in the School Orchestra my district won best school orchestra in the state like 8 years in a row or something at an annual competition. But that's nothing compared to 16th in a National Comeptition.

Left Shoe 11-07-2004 02:13 PM

o for my last post , there were 93 bands there competing (the best of the best huwa!)
