Saw Watain last night. Not a terribly huge fan of them, but it was a fun show.

I would see them just for the redic stage show they got with the blood. But their music isn't that great....I don't understand because they don't really sound that evil or oppressive at all.

Agalloch already released a perfect album so it's pretty much impossible to top that and my expectations with them are always high so I was a bit let down.

Hm, yeah, idk, it's very different from their older albums. I guess maybe you shouldn't compare it to those albums, or even take into account that it's Agalloch at all when listening to it.
