Yep the one on the previous page. Yeh i think they were written by an obssessed fan. |
James Hetfield
92% Dave Mustaine 92% Cliff Burton 75% Kirk Hammett 58% Jason Newsted 58% Robert Trujillo 33% Lars Ulrich 13% couldent of put it better myself except i wanted lars on top of Rob |

thnks man but ur orsm |
You scored as Jason Newsted.
Your Jason Newsted. Your a pretty damn good bassist. You use a pick and once in a while you use your fingers. Unfortunatly you desided to leave your band "Due to private and personal reasons." Jason Newsted - 75% Kirk Hammett - 54% James Hetfield - 50% Robert Trujillo - 50% Lars Ulrich - 38% Cliff Burton - 29% Dave Mustaine - 25% I would agree with that, apart from not being a bassist. Our band was very much like Metallica. We got rid of the bassist and the drummer was an ***hole. Although we weren't making as much money as Metallica so me and the singer told him how much of an *** he was and quit. The bassist and him are still looking for a guitarist, problem is, pretty much the whole town hates the drummer. |
lol, I doubt you're the biggest Metallica fan... :p
|
Cliff Burton-96%
Jason Newsted-67% James Hetfield-63% Kirk Hammett-54% Robert Trujillo-50% Lars Ulrich-33% Dave Mustaine-21% Way too late, but here are my results. I'm Cliff Burton, i thought i was gonna be more like a Jason Newsted. |
lol, I doubt you're the biggest Metallica fan... :p
as due I. all I need is Hetfield's ESP Truckster and I'll have all of his sig. guitars. I only have 1 of Kirk's (KH-4) and you could say I have a few that's are Hetfield's sigs but never mass produced. I think my Metallica sound flavor of the month would be 'My World'. Hell, I'm such a fan that I think if they farted on a record I would buy it. |
as due I.

the JH-3 and the LTD Grynch as very nice but if you count the ones he plays that aren't mass produced then it would be the chrome diamond plate MX-250.
|

Ah okay. I want my next guitar to be an EX-400. |
I've got back into Metallica, mainly in the shape of Load and ReLoad.
Hetfield's ESP Truckster
That's a brilliant guitar, I wish I had one. |
yeah Load and ReLoad are different for 'tallica but I love 'em.
I've played the Truckster before and it's really sweet and that ain't just about the finish. There is just something beautiful about the Truckster's tone and feel |
Yeah the truckster looks like crap. I don't want to be seen with it ever.
|
I quite like the Truckster to be honest. although I must admit I have never played one!
|
I didn't like it much until I saw it in person. I kind of have a thing for that beat up look.
I'm wondering what the sound will be like on the new album with Rob on bass and getting to show his stuff on this album. I hope it's not like Suicidal Tendencies tbqh |
I quite like the Truckster to be honest. although I must admit I have never played one!
meh i like it but my friends hate it. |
When is the new cd coming out. I heard early to mid 2006. Im sure thats wrong, but I just wanted to make sure.
|
they are still in the studio so that would be about right if they get it done quick
|
they are still in the studio so that would be about right if they get it done quick
It depends on what stage. If they are mixing and finalizing, it should be out soon. If they just started recording it may take some more time. |
they didn't just start but they aren't to the mixing and finalizing stage. they are still in the recording stage
|

So hopefully around April or May. Maybe even March if things go smoothly. I wonder what the album will sound like? |

hopefully it soudns pretty wicked...i know that i'll learn how to play the drums in all the songs in like 1 minute cuz lars is getting slower and slower... damn its been a while since i've been in here i dont see ANYONE i know |
I wonder if they will lean more towards their early thrash sound, be more hard rock like on load/re-load or totally suprise us all with a new sound?
|

damn its been a while since i've been in here i dont see ANYONE i know
I thought Lars was the least slowest on St. Anger. Maybe it just looked like he was going fast cause of his Constipation face he pulls all the time. |
Dyers Eve is faster than any of the songs on St. Anger. Lars can't play Dyers Eve live right. Then again, he rarely did the double bass on SA's title track during the MIAWTW tour, so yeah. Lombardo is Lars's age, and he's still going strong with Slayer. Gene Hoglan is in his late-30s I believe, and he still cooks on double bass.

Yeah, but is pretty unfair to compare those drummers, in fact Lars was never as fast as Lombardo or Hoglan at any age. |
Yeah, but Hoglan is god as you said.
He makes SYL worth listening to for me. Plus he's great in Death, Dark Angel etc etc. Just a shame he was on the worst Testament album. Like you say, Lars can do things in the studio when he has the time. That was seen on Some Kind of Monster. He struggled so hard doing double bass I thought he was going to collapse. Not a suprise he doesn't do it live. |
Yeah, but is pretty unfair to compare those drummers, in fact Lars was never as fast as Lombardo or Hoglan at any age.
I recon he was pretty fast in AJFA |
I recon he was pretty fast in AJFA
I heard he used Drumm machines in Dyers Eve and other tracks. |

damn its been a while since i've been in here i dont see ANYONE i know
Yea man where have you been? I learned sand man on drums. So know I know 6 songs on drums! One of my goals this year is to get a lot better on the skins. |
Master of Puppets is a great album, I like playing the songs from that cd
|
Yea MoP is great. I think battery is best song on that album, followed by sanitarium, and then MoP. Battery is such a kickass song to start the album with though.
|
Yeah it is. I recorded that song entirely all guitar parts, it sounds decent for the equipment I used
|
Lars isn't really that great of a drummer. He does your basic metal beats...and I actually respect him more for it.His style lets you focus more on guitar which I think is flattering from a drummers point of view.

A lack of a musicians talent in a band is never flattering, especially to bring out another band members sound. It should all mould into one, regardless of another band members lack of skill. Listen to the song Flattening Of Emotions by Death, and you'll see what I mean. |

On the earlier albums he used studio musicians rather a lot. |
