Amon Amarth is fun from time to time not gonna lie.

They would rule live.

RetiredAt21 11-25-2009 05:09 PM

The only Amon Amarth album I like is the Avenger.

TimJim 11-25-2009 05:11 PM

only amon amarth song i like is Asator

RetiredAt21 11-25-2009 05:12 PM

The Last With Pagan Blood is their most war song.

Txus 11-25-2009 05:15 PM

That song is pretty good.

They have some good stuff. Every album sounds the same though.

Bathory rules overall.

RouteOne 11-25-2009 05:17 PM

Clearly Amon Amarth's most war song is Thousand years of oppression:

He hung on the windswept world tree
Whose roots no one knows
For nine whole days he hung there pierced
By Gugnir, his spear

Swimming in pain he peered into the depths
And cried out in agony
Reaching out he grasped the runes
Before falling back from the abyss

He gave himself unto himself
In a world of sheering pain
So that we all may live our lives
By the wisdom that he gained

You doubted him, and spread their lies
Across the world, with sword in hand
You raped our souls, and stole our right
All for the words of mild-mannered man

You listened to mild-mannered god
And put your faith in deceitful words
Your powertrip was paid by blood
In kindness' name you spilled our blood

I refuse to submit
To the god you say is kind
I know what's right, and it is time
It's time to fight, and free our minds

Let me die without fear!
As I have lived without it
So shut your mouth and spare my ears
I'm fed up with all your bullshit

After a thousand years of oppression
Let the berserks rise again
Let the world hear these words once more:
"Save us, O Lord, from the wrath of the Norsemen"

Our spritis were forged in snow and ice
To bend like steel forged over fire
We were not made to bend like reed
Or to turn the other cheek

He grasped the runes, they're ours to use

I disagree.

EDIT: I think you should look up the lyrics to the Last With Pagan Blood. Pure WAR.

rasputin 11-25-2009 07:26 PM

rasputin 11-25-2009 07:36 PM

Stormrider 11-25-2009 08:20 PM

I still connect with bands singing about norse mythology. Of course, the few bands who matter and do it right. Bathory, Einherjer, Falkenbach etc

rasputin 11-25-2009 08:23 PM

does it invoke the aryan spirit in you blood

deboy12 11-25-2009 08:33 PM

What about Graveland?

Stormrider 11-25-2009 08:59 PM
does it invoke the aryan spirit in you blood
I raise my fist to the sky and cry out to Odin!

I like Graveland, too. However, I will never feel the need to get all his albums. I have a few and am completely satisfied with listening to those.

Countorus 11-25-2009 09:38 PM

Tyler 11-26-2009 10:06 PM

They're almost like an Italian Sabbat, you'd like them.

Txus 11-26-2009 10:06 PM
