Through what you guys are talking about this album is bound to be interesting. So far I've dove into Vicarious, and had a 30 second teaser of Jambi, and I have to say that I'm impressed so far. Sure, Jambi is coming from left field in the realm of Tool, but it's going to be something to marvel over once I get the entire CD in my hands..

HA yeah. Well I heard the guitar intro in one of the songs. Don't really know which one as I'm not really listening to them. Heard a few of em once or twice, now I'm waitin.

There's a couple riffs in Right in Two that sound an awful lot like Third Eye. Also a couple that sound alot like 46 and 2.

Anyone played vicarious through on guitar yet?

Some of it's pretty tricky...like the opening riff is somewhat buried among the mix...and the percussive sections are often tough to keep up with. The outro is suprisingly doable though...

Be nice to have a real good tab. The one on ultimate guitar is iffy at times, specially during the variation of the intro...

It seems like one of those Tool songs that would seem very empty on guitar without bass and drum accompliment. Thats the main reason I dont learn things like The Grudge and Third Eye, for similar reasons

I've learnt everything but the intro, and the bits from 4:50 to 6:50 i think it is.

Going off topic, but who the hell cares if it was a cover album. Listen to the songs for what they sound like, not "omG they ruined the original!!"..dorks. Half of eMOTIVE was garbage, half of it was really, really good.

As for 10,000 days, it's extremely improbable this is a decoy but imagine how ****ing orgasmic it would be if it is? This album is pretty awesome already. There will most definitely be some remixing, but I don't care as any changes they make will be *improvements*. Can't wait for the official release...

I hated eMOTIVE. It was so gay.

Blair is always being sarcastic, I laughed at what he said in that newsletter. The idea of this song being a decoy is such nonsense. I would think it was a possibility, except for the fact that Maynard sings two songs on here about his mother. I don't think he would write decoy lyrics about his mother, record the amazing vocals he did along with the epic music just for a decoy. It just seems to be too serious/personal of a subject to go on a decoy album that's just a "decoy" or "fake".

Also, after listening to this album a good bit, I've come across one complaint. I believe it lacks the flow that previous albums had. The tracklisting seems to be so disjointed. Those fillers could've been in better places. I saw some other posters mention their discontent with the tracklisting too. I'm starting to think that maybe they made the album all disjointed on purpose, especially with the whole LSD theme they have going in Lost Keys and Rosetta Stoned. Just a thought.

Epic music that they had already written...some of wings has been played live before lateralus...watch the oklahoma bootleg again...

There is lots of talk about rosetta stoned being a third eye rehash over at TDN.

Clearvision, I see how one can make a logical argument from that, but I just don't really buy into it. I'm expecting something weird though, it's just odd that Tool hasn't pulled any weird s'hit yet. So far its all been so smooth and expected...same album name and tracklistings...same single that came out on the said date, etc. Is it even possible that Tool are releasing an album without any tricks?

The strangest thing for me, is no official reviews at all yet. Not even of the single?
